Riot has no longer any rights to LoL, even the champions and splasharts are coordinated by China's Tencent, who took over. So yes we are playing now some china cartoon champions, the new meta is for china korea people with their little fast eyes, not for us. In year 2020, average LoL match will be 5 minutes, word.
Tencent does not do a thing at Riot except own it. Chinese companies tried too many times to start companies in the US, and routinely failed. So instead, they decided the better option would be to buy other companies, and then just let them run, as they knew what they were doing better then the Chinese companies did.

That seems just a tad racist, and completely irrelevant to your own topic.
Also, I think a lot of the choices from Riot are truly their own seeing as how they line up with their ideas from even a year ago to focus more on making every champion unique / bring something to the table that no one else does. Their standing on making games faster has also been fairly consistent for awhile now too.
