What if Sion's Unstoppable Onslaught did damage based on distance ran?

Hello Riot,

gamobigz aka doyourvirgins here,

I was just wondering what is your current take on Sion the Undead juggernaut? Is there like any rework or some buffs going out for the undead man?

Because I was just wondering how would a new added mechanic to his ultimate do? Like for example, the damage dealt on his impact of unstoppable onslaught being varied on the running distance he actually ran with it.

THEORY So lets take a distance from base to inhibitor turret. Lets say that is 2 screen distances.

the numbers could be like

1 screen distance be 200 aoe impact damage 2 screen distances be 400 aoe 3 screen distances be 800 aoe 4 screen distances be 1600 aoe 5 screen distances be instant death (potential pentakill if it hits all 5 enemy members).

But lets say you do a surprise flash ultimate at point blank, and that would do severely less.

"Unstoppable Onslaught's damage and Stun icon stun duration increase over the first few seconds of the charge, capping at 200% damage and 1.75 seconds, respectively."

But that wouldn't be based on distance that he ran. I am not talking about the duration of how long he is charging. I am talking about based on pure distance ran.

what your saying is similar but not exactly.

Say he has level 3 ult and crashed into something two seconds of the charge. he would be doing 900 damage at most with bonus ad regardless of charging 2 seconds of the 8 seconds or anything in between 2-8 seconds.

my proposal than is directly linked with using any of those seconds after the initial 2 seconds of unstoppable onslaught. If you did in fact run the full 8 seconds. What if it scaled the damage impact harder as it got to 8 seconds.

But... Distance is directly corrolated to duration charging.

They should also give him a health stacking passive based on how many enemies he kills

there might be hint of sarcasm hidden in that sentence.

If Sion gets buffed, I'd really rather it go towards his defences or reliability rather than his damage

And his ult already scales with distance traveled

Well I certainly can't speak for Rito but I do believe that they are happy with where he is right now and they have no reworking nor buffs of any kind planned. Not that I have any real evidence other than gut feeling, experience and the fact that he is debatably the healthiest champion in the game as far as Strength vs. Weakness and Power vs. Counterplay goes.

The damage on his ult does actually scale with distance already, although not nearly to the extent that you suggested. I think it's something like 2 or 3 seconds of charging gives full damage and cc?
