Can we Please Please add this feature for the rank matches?

I have encountered so many "trolls" in my rank match that will do following in team selection phase:

verbally abuse team
State that he/she will troll this game. and MEANS it.
Ignore the team communication and autolocks and then bad-mouths the team.

If I were to avoid "sure-to-lose" matches, I must exit the game, which will cost ME a penalty, not the team. If I were to continue the game, I lose the match, AND feel terrible from that troller's verbal and mental abuse.

In BOTH cases, the outcomes are on ME, not the ABUSER.

So I have a suggestion.

Can we have a consensus system to ban players during a champion selection phase? It can be something like - All players (apart from the one being banned) need to vote "yes" for it to be active. So 4 out of 5.

I feel that this is fair, because this proves that it is not just one or two player that feels intimidated by the abuser. What do you think, League?

Just wait for the 4 man teams next season. Don't like the 5th guy we are matched with? Banned.

It would be a lot like the WoW dungeon instances. Half the people who get kicked in there just get trolled everyone just hits yes for no reason lmao.

This. For the OP; if you've never played WoW's 5 man dungeons, sometimes you'll get in a group with 3-4 other people, and the instant they don't like you for any reason they boot you and you get a really shitty penalty. It's one of the most toxic things that could exist in a game and should not ever be encouraged.

Too easily abused. Also what if you get a duo of trolls? Also what if everyone just doesn't like one players pick?

there has to be something done to fix the amount of trolls in this game. i agree with you it could be abused, but riot needs to focus less on all the shit talking, which is completely normal in a video game, and more on if players are actually setting out to ruin other players games.

I am entirely in agreement that something should be done. I just don't think that this way would be effective. Though I disagree about the shit talking, especially when it escalates to death threats and telling people to off themselves. Cause that's what will (and does) happen if people think that Riot has eased up on that.

a unanimous vote of 4 to kick is hard to abuse. So what if you get a duo of trolls, does it make 1 troll OK?

I think you missed the point. The system as OP described it could easily be thwarted by a duo of trolls to just queue together and work together to ruin games. They wouldn't be able to be kicked cause, ya know, there's 2 of them and the vote wouldn't succeed. No one likes trolls and something ought to be done. I like the idea of voting, I'm just pointing out gaping flaws in the system OP suggested.

so the obvious solution is to allow 1 troll to ruin games solo, instead of doing something about the case of 1 troll just because it doesn't cover the far rarer case of 2 trolls. makes perfect sense.

You're just...how are you still missing the point. Did you read my original post? With all the other potential abuse? I'm not saying that it's a bad idea, there's just too many potential abuses. Think about for like, 10 seconds. See a person who's trying a new champ amd the other 4 agree that they don't like that? Yea, he's kicked. 4 people decide they don't like a person's NAME? Yea, he's kicked too. 4 people decide they don't like the way the comp is turning out or someone doesn't want to fill and complains? Yea, kicked. Sure it's going to work a lot of the time, but the problem is that it can be abused. They need to craft a system that can't be abused easily.

Personally I would rather they just get rid of the punishment for dodging. If for whatever reason some one decides in champ select that they don't want to be part of this game, then I don't want to play with them.

When someone dodges I am glad that they do, I would rather have 3 more minutes of matchmaking instead of 20-40 minutes of hell with someone who didn't want to be there from the start.
