In normal draft mode (as well as ranked draft mode), if you put your preferences as mid/top you basically get a 50/50 chance of getting mid. That being said, you can still play most mid laners top effectively.
Only downside is that your queue time will be a lil longer than usual.
Yeah, it should be about 50/50 if you do mid/top or mid/jungle. But it's much lower if you do mid/ADC or especially mid/support since it'll be forced to drop you into the role that literally no one else is willing to fill.
What % of people consider mid to be their "main" role, anyway? Somewhere around 90-95%? This is going to force some kind of change in the meta eventually.
