I honestly think Vi’s ultimate should go on a 5 second cool down like Caitlyn’s, if she is unable to use it. There have been like countless times where I try to use my ultimate, but my team kills the person to fast before the ult can even make an animation/the line that shows she’s charging towards the person. It’s ruins the game for me. And it’s ridiculous that if you don’t even get to use it, it goes on the complete full cool down.
overpoweredscrub2 votesI'd like to agree except..... vi's ult has crowd control along with damage and cannot be body blocked. Caitlyn's is easy to body block and only deals damage. Not even execute damage. Zero hard cc on it. Long range but doesn't do that much damage unless you were building a crap ton of lethality and hoping your enemy didnt buy a lot of armor and that you target doesnt have their ally body block.

But, it’s still really annoying to not even use it and when you want too. They die to fast. To the point you don’t even get to use it. It happened way to often in one of my games and I never actually got to use my ult besides like twice. That’s about it

True, but you can still cc Vi from her ultimate, and either way. I get that it has great team fight potential. But, it’s still really annoying to not even use it and when you want too. They die to fast. To the point you don’t even get to use it. It happened way to often in one of my games and I never actually got to use my ult besides like twice. That’s about it
Wait you can cc her? How? Everytime i use it im unstoppable. The only thing that stopps it is if the target dies. The wiki also states that she is unstoppable.

Then you got cced after the ult though not during. It did not interupt the cc.

I agree that it does suck somewhat, but it happens to plenty of other champs. Example. When you veigar ult and fizz, yi, or anyone with hour glass uses it, the ult on veigar just disappears and goes on cooldown. And if you make vi's ult go on a 5 second cooldown, it means she will be able to mini dash 2 or 3 times because of that. Since her ult lets her travel to her target so if the target dies or goes untargetable then vi can then use it again in a few seconds to dash freely towards target again. I do agree it sucks that it goes on cooldown, but her ult is very powerful.

that's kind of hard to say though because as soon as you press it, vi will start dashing even if it's very little that you don't count it as dashing. She does move instantly after pressing r so the game will still count it as her dashing even if it's only a few units of movement. Maybe a suggestion you might be looking for is if she didn't travel at least half of her distance towards her target then it should go on a 5 second cooldown?

No you can't.
But to address your initial point, Caitlyn doesn't do anything while she's casting her ult but Vi does do something while she's charging a target with her ult. They are not the same.

Akali Fox1 votesI need people to understand, that what I mean by that, is that. It’s unfun to use her ult, but not technically using it. I’m talking about when you use it and the person DIES before any running animation is to be had. Zhonyas is a completely different thing, and some of the champions mechanics. I’m literally only talking about when the person dies before the running animation. So you’re not really even running or dashing or whatever. Like again, I completely understand most situations. I’m just annoyed about it when the person dies before ANY animation happens.
