If positional matchmaking happens, I'm quitting league.

Everyone i've talked to thinks positional matchmaking is worst thing riot did since the moment they existed. If anyone doesnt know what that is, it means that you get different rank for playing ad, support, top, jungle and mid. So you cant climb by having skill in whole game, you climb by mastering one position (exactly what they wanted to prevent by doing that) I myself play almost every role and i want to learn the game and climb but if i have to climb all over again in another position its not worth it. Opinions?

Except you would only climb in one position then. Which will have diminished rewards compared to those players who clinb in more.

It's ok. They're from EU. We can't expect them to understand something so complex lol. (joking btw)

You've got it all backwards. If anything, doing well in all or multiple roles consistently should help you climb FASTER... not hold you back with the changes. *Initially it might be slower going until the system figures out that you are winning off skill and not rng/luck. But once it's more or less confirmed that you actually are "good" in multiple roles, continuing to win in diverse roles should give you the same effect that high mmr does currently - making each win in any role help you climb faster than a person with same winrate only maining one role. Thus... you climb as fast (in multiple roles) or perhaps FASTER than someone climbing in only one role.

Also... since when did Riot want to prevent people maining a role to climb? If that were actually the case, then they'd be actively trying to sabotage the vast majority of players at high elo. Because most of them main a role, and many of them go a step further in that direction... maining ONE CHAMPION. So sorry friend, but you are wrong here.[slayer-jinx-catface]

This is a perfect example of people just delivering downvotes because yolo.

I'm a versatile player too and I enjoy playing every lane, when I get bored of one I switch to another and I do pretty well in most lanes. I dont like being forced to play only one to climb efficiently tbh.

Ok i have put a lot of thought into this

I dont see an issue with playsrs who want to play top lane only doing that

Im worried about smurfs, on both teams. Getting carried because my mid laner was a filled adc main a full tier above everyone else and just swaps is a hallow win

Getting smashed because of the same situation on the enemy team is a dirty loss

This is why i think we need an except option. Learn four roles refuse one
