So I just lost a game and deranked due to an AFK Lee Sin. After the game I was just thinking if there could be some system implemented such as a loss prevented where if in a ranked game is someone goes AFK there is a loss prevented and no LP is gained or lost on either team. Is it possible to make this happen?
Yup, i got demoted yesterday in a game with an afk and an intentional feeder. i cant be expected to win a 3v6.
the team who won should still gian LP you just shouldnt lose any like how NORMAL loss prevented works. If neither got anything then that would be unfair because you have your friend or yourself intentionally leave so the enemy doesnt win there promo or because its a huge stomp and now you don't get the win. Yeah sounds unfair to me. You should still get the win if you win but the losing team wouldn't lose anything except the AFK

It's not possible due to the fact that people would take advantage of that system. For instance if someone was losing a game, they would just afk if it was an important game even at the risk of getting temp ban. They could also have a friend take the fall over and over on a smurf account.
It should still count as a loss, but the LP loss should be 50% if the system can detect the AFK. Like when you /ff and it only puts 4 votes in knowing 1 person is AFK.
