How to beat a riven

I really don't know how to beat riven, she is a really strong champ, need some advice

Top lane Champs who can beat/survive a Riven (provided no ally/enemy interference) Chogath Cho'Gath is probably the best laner to pick into her. He has strong sustain, is tanky, and has many ways to deny her combos (His CC can stop her dives and escapes). Malphite stacks armour and helath, and he will be able to shrug off Riven's abilities (She only uses Attack Damage). Maokai Maokai stacks armour and health. Nautilus stacks armour and health. Kennen Kennen is also pretty safe because he is ranged and has really annoying hard CC. Lissandra's kit is perfect for preventing Riven from diving you. Ryze Ryze is another ranged character who is a major pain for Riven to play against. His snare can easily trap her if she moves towards or away from you. Pantheon is a really good pick against her because his bully potential is stronger than Riven's, due to his targeted harass. Garen Garen can quickly silence her, preventing her from using her combo. While she's silenced, he can spin all over her like a Beyblade. Jax Jax is one of the best duelists in the game. He can negate her attacks with his Counterstrike (this ability actually reduces Riven's AOE damage and blocks her auto-attacks), and he will outscale Riven. Trundle Trundle can easily steal Riven's stats and outfight her in drawn-out fights. XinZhao Xin is a good pick. He can beat up Riven really hard due to his sticky nature, damage and CC. Fiora Fiora is pretty good, but you need to know how to play her. Positioning for hitting Riven's exposed weak spots (shown by Fiora's passive) and timing Fiora's Riposte are key for victory! Irelia Irelia is a skill matchup. Gotta time your stun and ult well! Renekton is a skill matchup against Riven, but he can fight her pretty evenly and catch her. Olaf Olaf is okay, but it will be a skill matchup. You have to kill her quickly in the early levels.

you left out darius. I can often get a cheese kill level 1 on her. Level 3, it starts getting ugly, because of the multi-stun issues. but if you get the early lead, you can stay ahead of her if it stays 1v1. Gotta be decent with darius though!

The problem with Darius is that his Q is highly telegraphed. Riven can easily get out of his reach.

I have a difficult time playing garen against her, after level 3. more specifics would be nice.

Riven sole kit is based around her ability to jump and dash. She destroys people by dashing in, knocking up the champ,stunning, and dashing out. This is how garen counters her. You can stand there and beat here 1v1 if all you two do is auto eachother so she has to use her abilities. The first time she dashes you silence her with Q which means she cant hop for the knock up or dash away. You then proc W for the armor and E all over her face.

After doing this once she will back off and you just stand in front of the wave making sure she cant get any CS until it crashes into her tower. She has no sustain so after the first trade you both can be at half health but after 8 seconds garen will start regen with his passive that she cant stop unless she goes in again which at that point QWE + ignite = death.

Build flame then phage and its gg.

Except that riven stun range is wider than garen auto, which means she can stun, then dash/Q out for free poke. So, she can indefinitely get a free 50+auto+passive damage. over, and over, and over. yeah, you can back off and regen it back.. but while you're doing that, you arent getting cs, if she's any good

Don't get distracted by her bunny suit, it's there to distract you
Tower dive her when you have the upperhand, works everytime,
Flash to lane so that you can be at the lane first
Buy a dark seal as first item
KIll her

"she is a really strong champ" lul. Maybe if you're playing against one of the very few people actually good at her, post-incoming CotC nerfs. Otherwise, no.
