"You will need to play one more placement game to determine your new ranking" :(

So I originally went 8-2 in my first round of placement matches and got placed into Silver IV, which I was great with. I ended in high Bronze last season and was surprised to have been placed higher, but I had felt like I played really well and 8-2 is an awesome win rate. But then Riot implements a supposed "fix" and asks me to play one more game. I lose said game, and immediately get booted down to Bronze V. This feels awful. I'm even willing to consider that Bronze V is where I "deserve" to start my climb; it's where I started in season 6. But to be told that I was able to place directly into silver and avoid that awful Bronze grind I spent all year in, only to have it ripped away, sucks a lot. I feel like riot has been completely disingenuous and a different solution could have been implemented. I'm the last of my friends still playing League, and this is probably the last straw for me too. It's been fun, but I'm done giving this company my money.
