What Happened League....

Alright, I started this game sometime around the end of season 3, around like the assassin meta and like most players out there, I was hooked. Although when I started out I was basically terrible at the game. I had no mechanical prowess, game knowledge as a whole, and was so excited through all that misery for a simple reason; what can i learn next and what else does league have in store for me as a player. I loved the concept of league and how it was essentially the same game same arena, but at the same time being a whole new situation and experience all together. From starting at Bronze 4 my first season in promos to reaching Gold by the end of season 4, then Plat now... I can say that league has been an amazing game for me and my friends alike. There was always something i wanted to improve on or learn because although the meta changes naturally, there was always the same game behind that was more so growing than all out changing.

This is where the catch is. In the new preseason of season 6... league has become a game I don't itch to play anymore. The coordination and planning that your team can do to pull their lead forward or wait for an opportunity to get back in the game is now essentially gone. With the new mastery system in place and new items thrown in the mix, league is a big snowball fest. If one of the solo lanes lose early on and the other lanes don't have an advantage anywhere... it is as if the game has been sealed. I played a few games today and this is when I truly realized just how bad the meta is now. Our Lucian wen 16/0 off three kills bot lane, they could do nothing about it...not when they grouped, not in a 2v4, nothing really. Some may think it is just because hes an adc that snowball... but even when there's a fed champion, there is always some sort of outplay or some sort of different route a team can take to try and fit there way back in the game. Now there really is not any. I played a game immediately after that one, the top lane and the mid lane gave the solo laners early kills. It was over. All the pressure from out team was gone. We had vision but no damage that was significant enough do anything about objectives, we couldn't push lanes because they could just pick anyone off at any time because they could 100-0 our carries like they were nothing.

Another this is that so many champs have damage that is just unrelenting from every stage of the game. Everyone has to have witnessed it in some shape or form now. The game that seemed to be fun and chill not has become so tense like there is no breathing room to collect one self. Such a game environment leads to tilting all over the place. People just don't know/ cant deal with the damage. Before level 11, many champs can literally dive off of a 2 kill lead like its nothing.

To put things in perspective, I used to play Maplestory for a decade (some of you may know of it), but i quit when i realized just how bad the game is. Like that i a hard thing to really realize. For a game to be a daily joy, something to always look forward to to have good time ending up as something you cringe to like an overplayed song is just so discouraging as a player that supported them so much. This is the exact feeling I am having for League of Legends right now. With all the time and money I so readily poured into it, I never dreamed that game would take me down this route.

I have just uninstalled league, just hoping for a balanced game/ a game that makes me want to keep playing. Thanks for the fun up till now :D
