I'm a Support main for reference. What I said is true: you're the one guy on the team who sacrifices everything for everyone else.
Warding? You.
Giving up CS? You.
Being multiple levels behind? You.
Less gold? You.
Not really being able to do anything on your own? You.
I can tolerate it, because I feel the upsides to playing the Supports I like outweigh these negatives. However, I can definitely see someone who usually plays something different has these forced upon them being incredibly pissy about the whole situation.
I love support. Too bad autofill won't let me play that role.
Because you're everyone's bitch.
not how i play im alpha i carry my games
Because you're everyone's bitch.
Hell naw. when i play Support, my team are my Pokemon and I am the trainer.
They do the fighting, i make the plays, i give them healing items, im the boss.
that's not entirely accurate you need to sink 800 gold into an item to ward shit for your team, you get the least appreciation and are stuck with an entitled 5 year old adc until 20 minutes and get flamed for every small mistake. Support is pretty much everyone's bitch and this is coming from a support main

While I do think Sightstone is dumb, i don't see what that has to do about how oi feel playing support.

it happens yes. Not gonna say it doesn't, but that doesn't really have anything to do with what i said tho.

I also play support. My highest champ mastery is support Lulu in fact. And while I main and prefer mid, i love playing support and find I perform better in that role than mid in fact. Im aware of all the pitfalls and i agree with you on saying those are the reasons it is less popular, but i feel my attitude in the post before towards the role is the biggest contributing factor to why i enjoy it.
Considered trying to get into Support again.
Then I realized ADC got autofilled almost as much and I would typically be matched against a premade bot-lane.
Because you unless play thresh or apc you have to rely on your teammates.
Well i play support and sometimes it isn't fun to have no impact. Supports can carry with a lot of cc and utility but can't hard core carry a feeding team. Also you have to make a bunch of sacrifices for other people's incompetence and do not get appreciated at all by your team mates. It's not fun to need your whole team to do anything
