You placed 12 wards in a 46 minute game, that's not a lot. and 261 cs for a game of that length isn't that good either, but you already acknowledged that. What grade did you get? I would guess an S-.

kda and cs has nothing to do with mastery rankings. Don't believe people who say otherwise. Same might go for number of wards placed, it might be important, it might be meaningless, truth is we don't know. (You should still do your best to ward though. XD It's good for the team.)

kda and cs has nothing to do with mastery rankings.

No, CS has very, very much to do with mastery rankings. K/D/A isn't that important, but cs is. you can go like 4/2/5 but have 10 cs/m, and there's a good chance you'll get an S.

All right, prove it. Prove your claim. And don't give me any personal stories or feelings, actually provide evidence to prove your claim. Funny things is, nobody ever has. But I've got a open mind, so just prove it.

Since riot never has, nor will they ever, release how players are graded, there's no evidence other than personal stories or feelings. Any time I've gotten good CS and low deaths, it's resulted in an S. Any time I've gotten a good k/d/a, but bad CS, it hasn't resulted in an S. You're graded compared to how other players do in your role with the same champion. CS is incredibly important to your overall success in game generally, and it's weighted accordingly.

Knew it, you have no proof just personal stories.

Every day there are posts of people complaining they have great kda and cs yet they don't get S ranks. And yet people without great kda and cs can get those S ranks. Makes you wonder no?

How many times do you have to read posts on this stuff before the penny drops? Neeeeh, lets just keep claiming people need to improve their cs and ward more to get a higher mastery grade, I'm sure the trend will reverse itself one of these days.

What we really need is videos of whole matches where people get S ranks and analyze them.

Here, maybe this will help you: This is a short topic with a video link in it (not in op scroll down a bit). http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/ABnZZZxW-info-on-getting-those-ss

I've literally never seen a post in which someone had great kda and CS but didn't get an S rank. Pretty much every time, it's someone that went 20/5/25, but had like 200 cs as a solo laner in a 45 minute game, or a support that went 3/1/20 but placed 5 wards in a 30 minute game. I've never seen someone with 7+ cs/m and a good k/d/a make a thread about not getting an S.

The thread you just linked has a teemo that went 8/1/3 with 107 cs as a jungler. That's good CS for a jungler in that short of a game. They got an S-. All that does is reinforce what I said.

If you want to prove what I said wrong, play a game, have relatively low deaths, and 7-8+ cs/m, and show me that you don't get an S.

Afaik, you're weighed against everybody's performance with the whatever champion you're running on the same server.

The more popular a champion is, the harder for you to get S rank out of, as there are already many people who'd played the champ to perfection already making S rank virtually impossible to get if your skill isn't at the very least above average on that champion.
