Ive played with only low plat and gold 1 players for the past 6 games now. So its obvious my mmr is somewhere around low plat, but the game is making play out the 5 game promotion series from silver 1 to gold 4. wtf is this. Why is ranking up a smurf so hard?
Kai Guy1 votesNever Trust Division 4 ranks as accurate. Demotion protections abnormally high. Folks can be 2-3 divisions of MMR lower and still not demote. Your likely in Gold 2-1 MMR and your at 13W 10L which is not a very significant sample size of games.

I remember I lost like 10 -15 times in a row once I hit gold for the first time lul... Not proud of it but it happened. My skill has improved slightly so now I don't have issues maintaining gold.
