I don't think matchmaking, even in silver which consists of 25-50% of the playerbase, shouldn't have Iron players be faced against people who are literally hundreds of LP above their league. Also I feel like my mmr is way overinflated, and I think that's whats happening for everyone. But then it holds the question why I'm not facing actual gold players. I'd just like to point out, this is all pure speculation of mine, but right now it seems broken. The addition of new ranks are supposed to give players more recognition, but at the same time it doesn't mean anything if they're constantly faced against extortionately higher-ranked players

its because the new placement system is dumb. On a fresh account played my first game with golds and won got placed iron 4 so im going to be iron 4 needing to win in gold mmr to get iron 3... and from what i heard if you 8-0 placements your high iron / low bronze against plats. Dumbest change if you want to give me plat mmr make me plat if you want to put me in iron let me pubstomp iron.
