Plants lost me a game

I was playing Rengar and it was almost 40 minutes into the game, my team was dead and I was the only one alive. 2 enemies were siegIng down mid and 1 was in the enemy jungle. I went to assassinate the enemy in the jungle, who was a zed, and just before I was about to jump on him I misclicked on a plant revealing me and knocking me away, which lost me the gapcloser element. I managed to kill him but I died as well. If I could've killed him and lived I could've recalled and killed the support and adc who were at our nexus turrets (by the time i was dead), as I was fed enough to pretty much 1 shot them.

Even though this lost my friends and I the game, I still laughed my ass off when it happened.

The plants have been a fun and great edition, I was against them at first but they really don't have THAT much of an impact on the game, unless you're garbage like me and misclick.

Edit: So many upvotes :o I guess my title is upvotebait, it's nice to see everyone not complaining about the plants for once :) Edit 2: Also wanted to point out that when I was going after the Zed, they were only at the inhib and I tunnel visioned on the Zed.

Hey! A positive boards post!? About plants? What's next, people admitting whenever their main needs a nerf?

But seriously though, I'm glad that other people than me are enjoying them. They don't make a HUGE impact on everything, but they can be quite good in certain situations and are really hilarious. Me and a friend got into a custom game vs each other to see how plants interacted with dueling in the jungle. After our testing was done we just started screwing around. He went to solo baron for the lulz (as GP). He ran when he got low hp and went through a ward I had placed in an area with a blast cone. I managed to time my auto perfectly to launch him right into me from the other side of the wall and kill him instantly. We laughed so hard.

Why didn't you do this in the first place? You would of stopped their siege and made just enough Time for your team to come back.

Sounds like you lost due to your lack of making the correct decision in the crucial moment of the game. Not the plant. I do this all the time too...

#ALSO you have to click on the plant to make it explode...

But I think you understand the mistake already. ^_^

But next time this happens try to go for that ADC and Support that you know you can one-shot before trying to go for a zed who could "probably" also one shot you.. xD

TBH the plants seem to be okay for me RN. The most fun i've had with them was knocking my friend into baron pit using blast cone. fun times

im concerned about the ranged advantage on plant activation

so far ive gotten out of messy situations using blast cone as well as use it to chase people which was fun. same with honey fruit drop it to slow people down or gain some healing when somebody is chasing you on low hp and then turn the tables

the overall impact isn't too big though i agree on that part.

But so far a lot of people haven't figured out all the uses and mechanics yet but ranged champs can activate the plants much easier so they can more easily use them against their opponents like blast cone or the heal plant slow to prevent melee from escaping/getting to them

That is my one concern

Plants should be clickable only with the left mouse button, not right (or which ever button you use for Move / Attack commands). Happened to me too, I was 1v1'ing the enemy jungler and he misclicked a Scryer's bloom, missing an AA on me and losing the fight.

Haha i was once running through the jungle with my Jungle Rengar away from enemy bot lane, but I got cut off by the enemy mid laner. So I went to attack the Blast Cone to jump into Dragon Pit, but I didn't realize the explosion Radius was so big. I hit it and it launched Rengar right into the middle of their whole team, it was extremely funny. I felt bed because it was an accident, but it looked like I did it on purpose, I honestly did not realize their radius was that big and there was no time to wait for him to get into position.

Still their impact was not as bad as everyone was making it out to be, typical Boards complain as if a change is the end of the game before they even try it out for themselves.

The enemy was baiting the Baron, and my friend hit the red plant, and he got knocked away, but the other 4 people on the team were on it, so it separated us and we lost the game

i feel the same way about plants. one time i was playing twitch in a bot game and juked out 2 bots on my tail with blast cones.

I hate plants because they add a new annoying mechanic into this game, it's so stupid and I really want riot to consider removing plants. I hate plants and I hope that riot will learn what they did and not wait an entire season to remove them. They are very very unnecessary and very stupid. End rant

I love plants and it was fun using them.

Last night I was Veigar, just doing fed Veigar things and exploding carries. I walked out of our blue base to the wall west of Brambleback, where I placed my stun over the wall and was planning to delete anybody unfortunate enough to walk into it.

Sadly for me, I was standing in range of a boomboom plant and our Nami accidentally clicked it. It sent me flying across the wall into the enemy team's tanks. I panic Flashed and ran away from their thankfully stunned front line while screaming bloody murder over mic.

A+ would scream again.

you chasing an enemy in their jung when your team is dead and enemy breaking the gates cost you the game the fact that you were chasing zed instead of going B tilts me more than any plant bs reminds me of the priorities of every assassin ever and the kind of decision making i look forward to in preseason

Plants are not that bad, its just a change in the game, and me, I don't really like change but I can see what Riot is doing here and I respect them for that, testing it out in the Pre-Season, through playing with the plants, I don't really mind them, I guess it makes the game more complicated and fun, that is just my opinion though

Yeah, I love plants, I'm glad they're working out for more people than initially expected.

Also, I accidentally used a blast cone as well, but it ended up engaging a blind teamfight that ended 3-0 in our favor.......

I just had a game as support where I was being chased down river, got ashe ulted and attacked a fruit that slowed the persuing zyra. I like to think that saved me :)
