Ap Corki or Lucian mid?

Hey guys so I just joined this website and I'm kinda noob. I'm bronze 5 but I was silver 5 last season. I have played a very small amount with both ap Corki and Lucuan but I find them both very fun. I was wondering which one of them you guys think are more viable. I think ap Lucian has alot better burst and poke, while I find Corki to have just long range poke. So I'm try to decide which is an all around better ap mid. Please only share your opinion if you have a good explanation of it.

Both are bound to give you a ton of trouble in champ select, so tread carefully.

Anyways, you've rendered both their passive next to useless by going AP, so it's just not very appealing to me. But if you want to seriously compare the two, I'd go for Corki. He has short AP cooldown and is a lot more reliable in fights with his poke. 3 abilities scale, while Lucian only has 2, and is a lot more risky.

AP Corki is okay but please don't go AP Lucian.

AP Corki brings good long-range poke with his ultimate and has some decent burst and has a great escape tool.

AP Lucian has abilities with long cooldowns and are very unreliable and hard to hit. He brings zero utility to his team. No spammable waveclear or CC or shield or heal of any kind. Corki doesn't either, but his saving grace is his really effective poke and safety.

If you're going Lucian mid I'd suggest going ad, a huge portion of his damage comes from his passive. It's not really common but it's been done

Thanks for those comments guys. Even though you both think Lucian is more unviable than Corki, im starting to think that he has more upsides for a couple of reasons. His passive damage can be useful if you get Lich Bane because it makes you want to get an auto attack in, his q has a much higher ap ratio than corki's and it is much easier to land, Lucians also gets bonus movement speed from his q so you can stay close to people while you burst them down with his long range ult, and he seems to be alot better in small skirmishes and teamfights because of his high damage ult, which i think is better than a poking ult because it is more powerful than corki's in a fight, which is when it is really win or lose. I would like it if you guys share anything about what i just said.
