Why is Zac being banned lately?

Quick question guys, I have been playing Zac as my Main man for approx 2 years now. Now, I do understand that he IS STRONG. I absolutely agree, so I need to point that out first, because that is usually the answer I get when I ask in game lol.

However, he has ALWAYS been strong. For the entire time I have played him, he has always been a very strong champion. He has changed very little over the past 2 years, but yet he has in the last month or 2 started getting banned a lot. Literally from almost never being banned or played (at least from my experience) to being banned for play in 1 of 3 games lately.

So...what exactly changed in the past couple months to make him all the sudden get banned? Is it an item change? Did people just all of the sudden realize he is the god I have always known him to be? Is there some change I am simply unaware of that has made this difference? WHAT IS HAPPENING!?!?! lol.

Ill always play him regardless, cuz he is my dawg. But I am just curious as the why exactly he has all the sudden gotten on the radar.

It's pretty much people are realizing the one thing zac and soraka have in common.

You have to dedicate too much to that champ, that by the time you kill them you have nothing for the rest of the team.

For example zac naturally is tanky and he honestly becomes this ( you need a fuckin lord dom or else ) type champ that it takes so long to kill him + all the CC hes spilling out. Then when you finally do you have to deal with his passive

He just requires so much that hes just a great champ to have on your team. Extremely hard to deal with. His ganks are uncontested and top tier atm too.

VoyBoy was complaining about zac the other month and i myself have hated zac since i started playing 10 months ago. It was only time

He's stronger counters have been nerfed and he's a pretty devastating ganker.

People actually started to play him after some competitive spotlight and a few nb3 vids. Up until now average soloq zac had very few games on him, so even if the champion was always strong, he was not ban-worthy, because there was a few good Zac players.

He was nerfed into B+ tier champ in 6.21 so you don't have to ban him now.
