I've payed a few games lately and although I can have fun... I just mainly cant enjoy the game, at least without friends to play with. The gameplay has gotten boring and repetitive. Mordekaiser AD jungle is pretty fun... but then I get into a normal game as Vayne and die to a Sona with ignite... I don't really see any reason to play this game in ranked because I know that I'm just going to get frustrated with my team and probably lose.

tl:dr Ranked has become a joke to the BS meta, the game isn't fun unless you are playing with friends and all the patches do is just change who this months BS champions are.

What happened in the situation is that my support was in river and was cut off. A Sona with ignite was able to kill me because she did more damage with her Q than I could in total at level 2. It may have been a noob move from me, and we did make a huge comeback, but in the end lost the game.

I fell behind really quickly and became frustrated. My performance dropped and I kept missing my condemns. The sona continued to do lots of damage from outside my AA range and I would lose so much health from poke whilst trying to CS that I would have to hide under tower. FYI vayne is my main go-to ADC and usually when I play her i'm more used to CC based support such as braum, blitz, leona or thresh to provide CC and tank, allowing me to play more aggressive (not a weak early game). Its been a while since i've lost as vayne (I think) and It was just getting on my nerves that I couldn't enjoy a GAME. I became very easily frustrated and I just feel like now, after my last few game, that league has become more about finding this months champs that got buffed.

if you want a strong early game adc, there are better choices. You pick Vayne if you want to scale hard into mid and late game. Who was your support?

I had a support karma and I usually make pretty good first blood plays with one of the supports listed above.

Karma has a shield to help you win trades and a pro ass ult+q aoe burst ass combo that should have kept the Sona at bay. If your Karma was bad then yeah you might have been hosed.

Still may want to rethink trying to get first blood as Vayne, unless the opportunity really avails itself that's not going to be possible as you move up in elo. There's no fucking way I would let a Vayne get first blood on me or my adc, unless there was a gank at like level 5 that came out of nowhere and I totally had my pants down.

The thing is that karma was not close to me remotely to shield me, used her ult + Q to damage minions, and at the point where I died, she was nowhere to be seen.

I also saw one of your other replies, yes I was blaming the meta and game for my performance but my main point with the original post was to say that I find it difficult to enjoy the game, unless I have a friend there to play with.

And my comments on the meta was that I can understand its the formulated best way to play, but if that way punishes players who do otherwise (example : Due to Viktor buffs his playrate has risen as well as his win rate). Could you give feedback on your opinion in the same perspective on Viktor? sometimes the best way to understand is to see it from another's point of view.

sorry I don't stay up to date on mid, top, or jungle. I'm a dedicated support main so the affairs of bot lane are my main concern.

I also enjoy the game much more if I have a duo or, even better, a ranked 5s team. You should join a 5s team that plays regularly, even if it's not ranked. It can be rather rewarding.

I have a bunch of friends that I usually play with but due to areas of the world, we cant always play together, my main buddy Gufrkus is my great friend (and support for duoQ) and lately he's stopped playing because he doesnt enjoy the game either. I feel shy about new people and this has been my first time creating a board to discuss how I feel about the game.

I may not be the best ADC but I'm pretty good, and yes, Im bronze, I had 4 placement games with DC's on my side. I also received a message from RITO saying that they apologise but there was someone using a lag switch in one of those games to DC my mid-laner. I haven't found the endurance to force myself through the hell that is bronze and have decided to wait for placements next season.

just play normals, I'd recommend draft mode so you can still ban the broken champs, and maybe find a support you synergize well with. Lots of supports like to play the tanks, like Leona, Braum, etc. Add them and play some duos and if it works then you have a bot lane. You can then make a thread in team recruitment which would get pretty quick replies because there are lots of tops, mids, and junglers wanting teams. Do tryouts, keep who you like, boot who you don't, and there you go, you have a 5s team.

Thanks man, As I said tho, I'm a shy guy. I can get along with people but get nervous when they send me friend requests. The major problem that I have with the game is the actual enjoyment levels, even in normals.

Also, I forgot to mention, I was part of a rank team, me and my friends organised. Our jungler died, literally. everybody left after that but me and another friend are still in it. It was tough but I got past it but some of his closer friends don't want to do ranked bc of that.

u know i understand ur point(btw sry for saying jack ass) but u know im really sick of this meta that arounds only about 2 champion which is mid lane and adc i mean why leona doesnt get 2 offensive item like rod and rylai with 1 locket thornmail and frozen heart if u understand my point,it just means why we make 2 and half (top lane is not completely useless except fiora,etc) so useless in the game so why this meta is like lcs tournaments im not saying it is bad meta but: in this meta u make jungler and support so useless,and my point is u coordinate ur team around adc so if aniee land stun she just get 1 shotted(with out even doing anything) i know it is stupid but if i bring some day a meta in this league i would rather put adc in mid, ahri with singed in bot lane fiora and teemo top lane or if we had a jungle i would put braum in the jungle and put trundle in the top lane or even in the middle

He complains about meta and then takes a hard scaling adc (Vayne) with a weak early game, tries to straight trade with a weak scaling support (Sona) with one of the stronger level 2s in lane, complains he got killed then tries to blame the entire loss of the game on that one death.

I agree that he has some very Questionable points, i am well aware. i just dont see why you would need to word it the way you did. it is Offensive to people and only makes the situation worse.

atleaste something cheesy like "We all have bad days and games, just work on improvement and i am sure your experience will turn around."

You are completely correct that he is blaming the game for his own actions though.

if he had said something about being bad or wanting help etc I would have been happy to lend friendly advice

but when people blame their performance on their team or the meta they deserve to be set straight

remember the "meta" is essentially the way that millions of players have collectively determined the most effective way to play in order to maximize victory chances. If you hate the meta, go make a ranked 5s anti-meta team and try to climb the ladder. Otherwise, sink, swim, or stfu.

First off, i have a high plat account and im not sure how many times i have to tell you this before you realize that im higher elo than you lol......

Rammus is an Armadillo, Also every champion has its counters. i would recommend widening your champion pool "learning new champions can be really fun sometimes".

Do you know every role with atleaste 5 champions? if not then i dont believe you should be doing ranked. If you do then make sure you know Every trick possible with that champion as that will help you Carry games and be less reliant (Dont get me wrong, you are still reliant on your team).

Try new Builds, Try the op champs, Milk a cow or do anything thta you havent done that will make the game abit more "New".

I would rather not... However i am glad you found some things that make the game less painful for you. Just make sure you build for your team, and not for yourself when in ranked. Also there is a big difference between Playing champions, and knowing champions. keep that in mind, "Happy Gaming"

Play more normals, team builder, and aram.

Ranked can be very in fun because of the bullshit matchmaking/MMR system (IMO) but without the pressure of dealing with bs ranked its a lot more fun.

My advice, give ranked a good long break, up to a month. Let the stress wear off and go back to just having fun for a while.

It'll take a few games to get our of that ranked mindset but you'll calm down and relax

It was in normals -_-. I gave up on ranker a long time ago, I managed to climb divisions in bronze but it was too frustrating.

Everyone has their breaking point after which they just can't have fun with what they were doing. I had it on 1st day of new HUD.

On that day I switched to HOTS. Maaaaaaaaaybe it isn't as cool as LOL, but at least I know how to play in... "short bursts" which prolonges my fun.

I'd suggest you doing the same. Leave LOL. Take a long break. Try new game, but this time make sure you won't go into 24h/day playing bot. That will sap all the fun in no time.

Maybe try some MMO? It's always good to change some things from time to time. You might want to check out Wildstar, as it became F2P today. So.. it's pretty good opportunity if you ask me ;)

You don't have to meta. I have decent results playing not meta: Anivia Bard Varus Velkoz Chogath and TahmKench (though I'm told he's meta, which is weird, he doesn't look anything like Thresh ).

Champion strengths might make a difference in edge cases, but most of the time it's vision, objective control, CS, and the player's skill that matter most. I have played against counterpicks and won (Anivia v. Zed), and I've lost to champions I counter (Cho'gath v. Teemo). Are some champ kits overtuned or overloaded? Yup. But that will always be the case. It's way less of a factor than you think it is.
