Dominion incredibly easy?

I've played 5 games in a row now on Dominion, and all of the players aren't even trying to win, they just stop randomly, and they don't even talk to us, or the team. Every game is like this. Can someone tell me why? Thanks. It's really freaking me out.

It's too casual

I don't understand what you're trying to say. Please, my friends and I are freaked out by it. Please help. Thanks.

...I'm sorry, but how could he make it any simpler? Which of those three words do you not understand?

The majority of my post focuses on the fact that the "people" who are playing Dominion aren't actually people, since they don't do anything in game nor do they talk in game. His/her comment was completely irrelevant in that sense and in no way helps me find an answer. I'm just wondering why Dominion is acting up right now.

No, it's just that people care less in Dominion. It's usually used as a place to simply play, without bothering with farming and team coordination.

I found my answer. Thanks for the effort though. These two links point to what I was talking about.

That's actually really interesting... Didn't know people were botting Dominion. Seems somewhat pointless to me, but I suppose they must have some reason for it. Anyways, good luck out on the Rift/Scar, m8, and of course, have fun!

Reason is money, and Dominion is barely played by anyone anymore, so not many people to report if the bot sucks (or that it's a bot), relatively quick and easy to grind an account to 30 and sell it on. If the stories are true, there are games of Dominion being played right now with no human players, no human even aware that they're being played. Just a game between bots, played on an automated server.

These days you'll only find serious Dominion players playing customs, as matchmaking does too poor a job with this number of players.

"It is"... there are 4 words in there.

Pyrobob41 votes

Alright, smarty-pants. "It's" is a unique, singular word.

ploki1221 votes

No, that's my point. It's is simply "It is", you have 2 words in there It and 's. I'm not confident the same applies to possessive's 's however since I'm not knowledgeable enough about english grammar.

Just because it's a contraction doesn't mean it itself is two words.

Taken from wiki

In traditional grammar, contraction can denote the formation of a new word from one word or a group of words

Critically, in the context of my question, it was possible that the ONE word FleetAdmiralZane did not understand was it's, even if he did understand the words it and is individually.

Sorry for the late reply, but when I said casual, I meant that players playing Dominion don't really feel the same pressure of self-worth that is in Summoner's Rift, where your own decisions/skills could really mean the game. You can't run to a turret and disable its agro by simply capturing it, either.

However, Dominion strays from that. Instead, we rush towards capture-able towers in a map filled with skirmishes. Roles lose their real purposes. Kill them, take points, it's a very simple game mode. In fact, it is literally the moba equivalent of a fps capture-the-hill game mode.

This does not mean it is a "bad" game type. I find it fun to play it sometimes, but honestly, I don't really care about wining or losing in Dominion because I cannot bring myself to take it seriously. It's a game mode to relax and take a break from the precision needed in Classic mode.

There is an insane lot of bots in Dominion game since the number of human players is much lesser, making the density much bigger.

I guess there´s only a very little grooup of dedicated Dominion-Players and you´d need to grind MMR a while till you reach an Elo you´ll notice that people finally seem to be aware of strategies. Way back in S2 when I pretty much exclusively played Dominion you really had the same people over and over again on the "high-lvl" Dominion play...guess you´ll just have to keep going to get there. Otherwise it´ll be like every other gamemode...mostly random movements and a lot of people chasing kills and giving up onn objectives.

For the talking part...yea, most Dominion games are pretty silent as it´s a very fast-paced gameplay there and you can´t really talk about things, you have to do them asap or get outroated (at least further up the Elo). And most Dominion players are there for the fast-paced gameplay, not for a good lot of talking.
