I went 7-3 on my prelims for flex 5s and got put in Silver II, then the next game I play the enemy team remakes and I am greeted with a message saying my climb starts in Bronze I? How does that work? I realize I haven't played ranked 5s in a couple season and was expecting to start on the lower end but how did I lose points on a game that essentially didn't happen?
Does it have to do with the fact that everyone's placements were wrong and most people had to play another placement after riot fixed it to get placed correctly?
they made some changes and for those that have already finished they got 1 more placement match and that was used to readjust flex
Because currently Gold in flex is all plats and diamonds, well as far as I can tell, as thats all I'm really playing against.
Happened to my friend. He intially got placed gold 4, came back after a week, played another and got placed back in silver
Because while remake is great in theory, they have no idea how to program it properly and it's a hit or miss function.
Faulty logic in Riot's code.
They most likely didn't consider that happening and didn't write extra statement about it, or they had fault in coding.
they just didnt put that scenario into account. so, there isnt anything that can be done.
Clearly they didn't factor in fairly trivial edge cases. The only way I can see this as being intended is if you're doing placements duo and your duo forced the remake.

I also went 7-3 placements. They actually reverted MMR to before placements because they had a bug. Because you actually did well in placements, that means your starting MMr is a bit lower now.
I feel you. Same thing happened to me. Silver 3 to Silver 5 after the one game.
