Lethality and Armor

Okay, here goes: I still haven't got a single clue to why lethality is better against champions without armor than champions who did build it. If it's just armor pen, why does it work against champions without armor? Flat AD would just be better than right?

Well armor has diminishing returns, which means taking 20 armor from a tank with 150 armor is significantly less effective than taking 20 from the ~45ish armor squishy carry.

EDIT: EVERYONE HAS BASE AND PER LVL ARMOR caps

That's just how it works out with the armor/damage reduction formula.

Armor does not have diminishing returns. Increasing one's armor from 0 to 20 will give the same amount of additional effective health as increasing one's armor from 130 to 150.

LW is a %pen. Lethality is Flat Pen. So flat pen is better against targets with lower armor stats while % pen is better against targets with higher armor stats

Because 10% of 100 is a lot more than 10% of 10.

But 10 off 10 is a lot more effective than 10 off of 100
