Missing the Old Aatrox
This is my first ever and mostly likely only post I will be making on the forums. I've been thinking of making this post for months now but I thought over time I would just forget about this all and id look back on the Aatrox rework as just a bummer but nothing too impactful.
I've been heartbroken ever since one of my favorite champs was removed from the game, I understood why he was in need of a rework but the basic flow of his kit and fantasy were gutted. I felt like I had options of when to go in and get away from the old aatrox as well as when I played as him. I felt like it was clear when he was gonna crush you and when you could crush him. He was so fun he was a large reason why I was still playing league and now I only come back to binge, for a short period, and see if I can find some champ I've looked over to fill this void but I still cant.
I still feel totally let down by Riot even after almost a year. New aatrox feels like an entirely new champ and nothing like the old in any form, plus playing vs as him feels awful. His play pattern at its core is feels overwhelming when playing versus and all around bad to play against. Its clear he has been a huge balance issue and still continues to be. I hope riot see this rework as the complete failure as it is. You've missed everything you set out to do with the rework and disappointed one of your loyal fans.
In an ideal world the old aatrox would be reintroduced into the game but i know this will never happen, a fighter who exchanges dmg for heals on a whim, making risky choices to bargain for a couple seconds of insane strength, and was one of the only auto attack heavy champs that didnt feel like a stat check. You accomplished something amazing with the old Aatrox and it showed only a couple months before his rework that he could work and he was a good champion. Yet you abandoned him for something no one wanted and now i feel nothing but betrayal.
im so very dissapointed,
