Focus on your own gameplay, don't worry about what the rest of your team is doing.

There was a great post I read recently about how often people are able to hold their own against people well above the level they are at, but you have to be beyond that to climb. When you say you deserve to be in plat 5 what is it based on? Gut feeling of being able to play and win lane vs low plat players? The post I read was a mid plat player who climbed from bronze or silver, and the biggest thing he said was that you should be able to play even with people up to 4 ranks up from you. Then you have to break the plateau and it is either about learning to make better calls, rotations, etc than the people at your level in order to climb, or you have to be dominating people 2-4 ranks up and able to hold your own a whole division up.

Personally I climbed from bronze and am about to hit gold and I know I'm gonna get stuck for a little while there bc I can stomp mid low silver players in lane pretty often, but have been going even against Silver I-Gold III players and have just been making good rotations and calls to keep winning in silver I and mid gold players do that just as well or better than me.

TLDR; being around the same level or a little better than opponents makes teams a huge influence, growing the skill gap between you and opponents is what you have to do to win. You will always be slightly better than your rank bc variance moves people around a little, so you have to be way better to push past variance.

well, my only advice (I don't play ranked because of having a terrible connection and lack of appropriate runes) would be to play as though you are playing with the elo tier you are in, this way, your team can appropriately adapt

another suggestion would be to use champs that have a lot of versatility, like jinx with two forms of crowd control and a global ult, reksai can control the entire map, etc there are plenty of team-friendly champs

the hardest part is getting people to agree on roles. I play ADC, mage and support, but if those three are gone, that only leaves top and jungler if the team wants perfect synergy. gangplank I enjoy top, so that would leave one position unfilled (I consider gangplank an ADC top because of critplank )
