Annie Vs Yasuo is such an unfair matchup

> So i have been playing Yasuo for quite awhile and loved getting counterd in match ups. Needing good skills and mechanics, the counters wont really matter, ive dealt with lbs and malzahars and they never seem to be a big threat. But going against Annie is a whole different story since she insanely counters Yasuo to where one kill can make the difference of the match up. First of all i feel that Yasuo's passive deserves a great buff for any auto attack can disable the shield. Annie being the one midlaner with the farthest auto attack can disable that passive as she pleases. But whats that you say, "just wind wall it", well its to bad annie's auto attack can go right through leading yasuo to be super vulnerable. Having no way to avoid his shield being basically kaput, Yasuo will have to suffer the spams of buttons created by annie. Only way i can find an opening to kill her is when she uses her stun on something else, and for that i would have to all in her. But this is also about how Yasuo's passive really does need a bigger buff, maybe it should be taken away with more damage or one ablity spell. I have no idea pls comment and help to change this grealty unfair issue.Yasuo

Your a champion who hard counters multiple other champions at every stage of the game, especially early, and your complaining about getting countered yourself?

So stop playing Yasuo against Annie. Suggesting his passive should be buffed because he does poorly against her is ridiculous.

I main yasuo, I win against annie all the time, not to say its a hard matchup but you can win, his passive shouldn't be buffed because of one counter, thats ridiculous. Although I think he should be able to block annies autos with his wind wall, those are definitely projectiles.

This is actually what makes the game balanced. Unbelievable, but true. League is balanced in a very finicky way. Even though there is always outplay potential, certain champs just do better against a given champion. That's a fact you'll have to accept about LoL in general. Yes, Annie might just roflstomp your Yasuo. But flip the coin over, and consider that Yasuo absolutely roflstomps Xerath. The Annie into Yasuo is just something you're going to have to accept. If you really don't like it, ask your top laner for a laneswap. Or, ask your bot duo and top lane to laneswap so that your JG can camp mid without penalty. Or just farm undertower and wait for ganks. So many things you can do. But getting countered by champs is a part of LoL. If the Annie into Yasuo lane frustrates you so much, then play draft instead of blinds. Then you get to see what you're up against. Even ban Annie if it's that bad. Hopefully you don't face her every single game.

Her auto range is not the longest any more of all mid laners. Anivia

Yasuo does need a buff. However, this will not change the fact that Annie still counters him. I played Singed against Vayne top. You can only imagine how that was.

I really hope he doesn't get a buff, he is in the most balanced state he has ever been. release he was op, mid-late season 4 he was ridiculously underpowered, 43% wr along with like a 90% banrate for no reason. I just dont want him to get buffed, become op again, and then get destroyed and the yasuo mains are left with a champ that is.. bad? instead of average like right now.

Yasuo is below average. Just like other champions he probably needs a rework on some of his abilities too. A lot of his kit doesn't make any sense what so ever like what's this double the crit chance but only 90% of regular crit damage. How does that have anything to do with him being a samurai wind warrior, not to mention it limits his itemization ability. However reworking Yasuo is low on the priority list due to how new he is.

Critical hits do make sense in accordance to his lore, since samurai are trained to strike with precise cuts, that is why they use a Katanna instead of eastern weapons.

So why does it do less damage than a normal Crit if he's being so precise, I mean obviously the double crit chance somewhat makes sense if he's so good with the blade, but if he's so good why is it doing less damage? I honestly think the whole thing has to go.

jesus dude everything shouldn't be based off someones lore, that is in place to keep balance in check.

I can't tell if you're trolling or not. In what sense is doubling the crit chance but only 90% of the regular crit damage balanced. Please explain I don't seem to understand your point of view. I just see no balance in that whatsoever. It's like a "want to be" nerf. It has no purpose to be there.

No.

Do you know why Yasuo is below average while his current state is well balanced ?

No ?

Well let me ask you this same question about let's say.. Lux or Katarina ? They are well balanced too, but yet still below average (except if they're fed, like ANY champion in the game, to prevent those incoming haters).

Why ?

They are not in the META.

Exactly like Yasuo, he is not in the meta. Freaking simple as that.

Once the meta changes to a less tank oriented thing where it will be easier for squishy champ to do their thing, Yasuo will comeback don't worry.

And for fuck sakes he doesn't need a rework.

LegacyDAP1 votes

Most of his kit is fucking trash. All they need to do is remove the 90% of his regular crit. Double crit chance, and he'll probably be in the meta again. That ability removes some itemization builds that he could have, because he can't build too much crit.

Remove his double crit (so let's say a 40% crit loss since people usually build shiv+ie only as crit) to only gain a 10% crit damage ?

Sorry but this is extremely far from a fair trade. Unless you want to force him to build 3-4 crit items, which will result in either a lack of AD/defense or sustain.

ChainedUp1 votes

Your talking about a complete change is yasuo's gameplay and his kit isn't trash. I remember listening to people moan about how strong he is and, news flash, he's still the same character with a very unique play style. If his kit was trash why would SSW Dade, or TIP Xiaoweixiao, or even SKT T1 Faker play Yasuo at the most competitive level

I don't think you guys know what a buff is. I didn't mean Yasuo is awful and needs HUGE buffs. I said he needs a buff to compensate for the fact that he has had a wave of nerfs that has made him less viable in a meta where he should be extremely viable. I never said he wasn't good. All I said was he needs a buff.

Don't play Yas against Annie...?

You realise every champion gets countered.. What do you think katarina's feel when THEY go against annie?

Lugg1 votes

Annie is Yasou's hard counter. Don't play Yas into her. It's that simple.

Hawaiien Hendrix1 votes

Many of you all are saying he doesnt need a buff and "just dont pick him into annie", well no duh im not choosing him into annie they chosse themselves into me and the fact that she can auto yasuo from her turret really defeats the purpose of his windwall and his passive. Nontheless it still is a matchup where one mistake can change eveything, all im saying is that he needs some source of buff to his passive due to the fact that half of it is broken by an auto attack

floppy10003 votes

I personally think it's unreasonable to buff a champion due to 1 certain matchup. Are there other matchups in which Yasuo gets absolutely roflstomped? If more than 50% of the common matchups are Yasuo getting roflstomped, then Yasuo needs a buff.

Hawaiien Hendrix1 votes

but the passive man the passive, one single auto from any champs disables it

floppy10001 votes

So is the better solution to remove the ability for counterplay? Propose then, a manner in which Yasuo's pretty big shield can be disabled?

ChainedUp1 votes

if she commits to trying to pop your shield you go and trade w her Qs hopefully and e around creeps, you need to make her worry about you fighting her instead of her thinking about bursting you. And it doesn't hurt taking exhaust either, makes all ins a lot safer versus burst match ups.

(And i start lvl 1 e if that helps FYI)

upvote for roflstomped

love it

lol gets countered by annie while playing a champion who can make every aa/projectile in the game useless. fuck yasuo he is a garbage champion only thing good about him is his windwall and thats only cause i play ap ez =[

ChainedUp1 votes

tell TIP xiaoweixiao, STK T1 Faker, or SSW Dade that he's a garbage champ cause I guarentee that they will prove you other wise.

and if you don't know who they are you shouldn't be talking trash about a champ, especially one that probably beats you over and over again.

Thank You :)
