In fairly new to League and i started playing in pre season 8. in In pre season 8 i acquired silver 3. When season 8 began i got into bronze 1 and from there i played until i was promoted to silver 5. it wont show on my character while in the loading screen. Anyone know why?
Preseason is when ranked games do not matter, dove. You need to wait till next season.
Edit, for clarification. A silver border is basically an accolade saying that the previous season, you made it to Silver/Gold/Etc. If you've made it to silver, congrats. Next season, you'll have your border.
The pre-season is part of season 8. And you will always only get your border at the end of the season, meaning you have to wait until the end of season 8 (which would be around October/November 2018) to get your border ^^
You only get boarders for the rank you have at the end of the ranked season, not preseason.
Your position in the race is counted at the end of the race. You don't have a border yet, the rank border does not change dynamically, those borders are what people finished at last season.
