Morde is dead and the rework killed it.
Ok, what the hell. Even tho I'm not a fluent player by a long shot I've been checking League since Renekton was released or something (I'm not quite sure) and Shako was a huge thing too. Morde was this forgotten champ that would never change or receive a much needed buff throughout all these patches but still could hold his own with decent skills that actually helped him solo almost any situation while making the enemy choke on his own pushed lane.
And when the enemy finally slipped and let you get a kill. A single. Kill...
That was some super event bullshit, the true definition of "The Real Dark Souls Starts Here". People would get desperate and start throwing themselves at you feeding you so much to the point where you'd hit the enemy adc with lich's bane plus your Q so hard they would disconnect. Even his shield was super fun to use cause you could just put it on your friend and steal a kill or, at earlygame, on your melee minions and watch the enemy melee laner trying to avoid it.
What is this rework??? Riot think its healthy to mischaracterize a champ that bad? Morde back in the days meant to go solo lane and become that unstoppable, 3 mph monster of a mage. Now what? An... ADC???
The Q now gives 3 hits with each increasing power. Well, thats too bad cause the enemy will either outrange or outrun you before the second hit lands. And the timer of that thing is so fucking short now that if the enemy step away once the "combo" is done. He has no CC on his kit to be able to land that thing whole. At least the older version had a decent active range with full potential on one hit.
Now answer me Riot, where the fuck did you hide Morde's W??? Up his metal ass I assume, cause I leveled that up and still couldnt use it. What is this, I need someone else to cast now? Well too bad, I picked Top lane like I always used to and I dont want to depend on some random guy just so I can make this shitty new "damage shield" work. This suddent "mistake" made me lose so much power that the time the jungler came to try and talk me out of jumping into that canyon on the background, Fiora was 4 levels ahead of me and rocking a Tiamat.
His E now have a delay now? I dont know, didnt noticed, I was so filled with dread and dispair at the time... Why would you do this to me, Riot. His E was the only ranged tool he had when outranged, now the enemy just need to click away and you can kiss your skill goodbye cause if it wasnt enough to lose your shield now your AOE is rendered useless.
I couldnt continue, I didn't have the will to continued that match, I just disconnected and went to sleep. He still dont have any CC, he still dont have any gapclosing potencial. Morde now have a kit so messed up you might as well change his name and remodel it a bit because thats not the same character by a long shot! I mean that as it's not the same vibe you should get from it. Its like remaking Ashe into a tank or Rammus into an AP assassin.
