REMAKE: rule's opinion
Hi all, I wanted to make a post over remake's rule, because I find it to be a nice tool, but still it lacks something to be realy good IMHO. Let me explain: today I was playing a ranked game when, just after spawining in base at start, our jungler decided to go straight to enemy's mid turret and die at minute 0:40. He then stays afk until min 16, when we are forced to surrender as enemy's jungler was just all over the place and we could not handle it anymore. Unfortunately REMAKE didn't proc, so I was curious wether it was an issue of my sole game or not. Found the follwing rule of remake:
UPDATED: A first blood against a player’s team before they leave/dc prevents a remake vote.
So it seems remake didn't proc for a reason. Still, I really think it is unfair to all those who experience this mate's behaviour. I understand that the rule is made to prevent people to intentionally proc remake on purpose, still I think there's a lot of room to make it better. For example, if a guy stays afk for, let's say, 5 or more minutes at any point in the game, remake could proc. Also, if the issue is the intentional proc of remake, the guy that goes AFK and his premade should lose LP, not the whole team. Clearly, I'm speaking thinking about soloq, since I see this issue in flex games could be a little more difficoult to handle. That's something that happened to me (but I think all of us has experienced a 10 min afk) a few times and I wanted to share to get some feedback.
And if you read the post from top 'till here --> THANK YOU!
TL;DR: Couldn't Remake proc not only when people fail to connect to game, but also to prevent guys being afk for long periods in order to have more fair games.
