i really think it would be good for players to avoid people they don't want to play with. i mostly suggest this because overwatch has implemented this in their game. i play it and it is so good to just not play with people that are troll and will ruin your game and since league has a much bigger player base i would be really good for people.
That goes against the game design. They want to create as toxic a game as possible. The idea is to get people to rage more and get them banned faster. Of course, it just makes things worse but Riot employees are degenerates so.
There's way too many abuse cases for that to actually function.
Edit because I forget things when typing at 6 in the morning: You mentioned Overwatch as an example, but that system had a huge problem with it. Some guy at high tier just couldn't get into any games because everyone would block him.
Agreed, longer queue times are a necessary sacrifice to make this game good, plus, they can make the avoid player feature only last a couple of days for a certain person to shorten queue time.
thing is you wont ever have enough slots. Overwatch's avoid a player is balanced by you can only avoid 2 a day for a week at a time. otherwise you can just avoid anyone in your games who shit stomps you.
