RIOT!!! Penalize those who vote "YES" to surrendering

I'm tired of playing a game with a bunch of whiners. Ive had guys trying to quit and we're the ones that are up. They have no fight and if they cant win they cry and want to quit. I like playing the game out and often have great comebacks but these guys are spoiled.

That ruins my whole game experience when i have 3 games back to back where guys just want to quit because the fight isn't easy. YES.... SOMEONE ON THE ENEMY TEAM WAS FED!!! That is one person, fight and shut up so we can pull this off.

Their should be pt system to if you vote to quit you take a penalty of some kind. Please implement it because its a bunch of cry babies playing league of legends that need to grow a backbone.

so if you press no, literally all of your other teammates need to press yes for the surrender.

so why should 4 people be forced to play a game because 1 dude still wants to continue, especially a Normal.

also, you also play normals.. ofc players will tend to ff more often there.

if you don't want to be bothered by surrenders from your side, play Ranked.

maybe because you have no backbone.....that rationalization makes sense. I get it...your use to getting beat up so you just accept it. This is how people with determination see it.

We started it lets finish it.

Usually it 3 of the 5 that want to quit and eventually the 4th one just gets tired of the whining and hits quit too. So why should I quit because spoiled brats cant stand the fact of a possible loss without giving up...... but you never know til you try for it.

Playing ranked isn't as fun because they get so uptight....because that's all they do is play LEAGUE. I think if you press yes in a normal game that should effect your rank as well as money bonuses.

well i have no problem in actually trying in a serious Ranked game and playing till the end.

but normals are just some random shitfests where no one takes anything seriously and it is basically just a clown fiesta usually.

what can you say to yourself after winning such a game?

"oh, i just won a normal where no one takes anything seriously" i mean, do you really give a fuck if you win a basically training game?

ofc you should try to win to a certain extent even in normals, but all fun is lost when you are 10k behind and have to farm up to eventually come back. is it really worth it??

but i simply don't understand you.. you complain about people ff'ing and not taking norms seriously and not wanting to play from behind because it's not fun, but at the same time you say Ranked is no fun because it's uptight while you are uptight in norms yourself or what?

i took norms seriously until i started playing Ranked, maybe you should try the same. it's a game after all.

The difference/penalty is in your win rate.

In ranked, I've won 10 games against teams that surrendered, and lost only 6 games by surrender. People who surrender too soon will have a a score that's the opposite.

There is already a penalty for those that surrender. A loss.

Like most everyone else is saying, Surrendering incurs a loss, which is in and of itself a penalty. They don't need to be hit with a punishment if they're willing to take the L without making the game itself worse.

Please implement it because its a bunch of cry babies playing league of legends that need to grow a backbone.

Also, with all due respect; don't call the kettle black, pot. You call people "crybabies" for wanting to shorten an ostensibly obvious loss so they can move onto the next game and maybe have a better shot at winning it, and then, proceed to whine and complain about them on the boards.

I'm pretty sure the ones Surrender voting aren't the ones who need to grow a backbone.

1/2 the time of you weren't ready to quit....... often you come back and win. Yes im calling them wimps, cry babies and spoiled brats because that's the attitude taken when it get difficult. \

So I take a loss not knowing what could have happened if we had just endured and maybe conquered.

I think another point system should step on your toes if your not willing to finish the game you started.

Adding further penalties to the Surrender system is asinine. Wanna know why?

Because penalizing players for using in-game systems would hurt the game.

Imagine if you got a 14-day Chat Restriction every time you typed into the chat pane, even if all you said was "NJ bot". Or, better yet, you get a 24-day ban for beating the enemy team.

This is basically what your want of a punishment on Surrender Votes boils down to.

As an aside - I'm pretty sure they want to finish the game - just not the way you want. Some people don't want to drag out losses for 30~ minutes, and you should be thankful they're opting to Surrender instead of flaming, AFK'ing, or intentionally feeding.

You shouldn't be complaining. The surrender vote already favours those that vote no. For a surrender vote to be successful a super majority (4/5 at least) is required to vote yes. If you're frequently seeing successful surrender votes of four yeses then maybe the problem is you. In my games surrender votes are rarely successful.
