Lucian's r should not be blocked by spell shields

I was playing sivir and I noticed using my spell shield when lucian is ulting actually blocks 1 bullet... Blocking 1 bullet is absolutely useless and prevented me from blocking the abilities I actually wanted to block. Lucian's r should be treated as an area of effect dps, like morgana's w, and not interact with spell shield at all. Again, losing your spell shield in exchange for negating 1 bullet of lucian's r is ridiculous.
