Anyone else wants the real URF back ?

In ARURF, I can admit than we see some champions that we would see less in regular URF, but lul, most of the times they are so useless in ARURF that at the end of the game they're 0/13 because they got one shot even before they were able to do anything.

Is diversity over quality a good choice ? I mean with ARURF the games aren't longer, sometimes even faster because some people can't even stand the champions they got and just decide to afk and open. With URF at least you could experiment champions you DECIDED TO TRY, and also try new stuffs and things.

Here with ARURF you just pray that you'll get a good pick in champ select or else you're fucked for 10-20 minutes, stuck with a champion you actually never played or even hate, and in addition, you have to get one shot by the ennemy champ that "luckily" got Evelynn and Hecarim.

That feel when your team gets Kalista, Aatrox and Yasuo while the ennemy team gets Hecarim, Evelynn, Zed, JAYCE, Varus

I mean, I just want to be able to play champions I like, why do I have to be forced to play a champion I hate in such a fun mode ? If "diversity" is the only answer, sorry but nope, did we see a big diversity in LCS ? No. Did we put a random pick in LCS ? No.

At the end, I can only say thank you for bringing ARURF two weeks in a row because it still is my favorite game mode, but way less than when it was urf.

Coming in to agree... for different reasons!

I like ARURF as well, it has the plus sides that you've mentioned - More diversity, less stale picks, you can make some interesting discoveries like that 31/3/12 tank Kassadin that I've faced this afternoon, witness glorious fights between champions that you wouldn't see in a standard URF (like, Singed).

However, I've indeed seen way more surrenders in this round of ARURF than during the previous URFs, and heard some premades rage about X or Y's champion more often than before... as surprising as it may sound.

Yet the main reason that makes me prefer the normal URF isn't that you don't have the risk of being in an unbalanced situation, but that you can just pick what you like to play. In my case, I've been a sort of OTP Syndra in URF since... a bit before the end of URF's first appearance (despite never playing her in normal games). She isn't nor has been really popular at all in that mode, and I've only seen her banned two or three times over something around a hundred URF games. Not really popular, yet I enjoy playing her far, far more than any other champion. I've grown used to her possibilities, learned and re-learned her limits the hard way. I sometimes move over to another champion, because I don't like playing just the one same champ for more than 15 games in a row... And just that is enough to make me want to play Syndra again. TL DR: I've just always enjoyed playing Syndra in URF.

My case might be a bit of a particular case, perhaps; but I'm sure that there's quite the amount of people out there who likes to play one particular type of champions more than another. Or a couple of champions.

I also do like playing ARURF, and I've played maybe 15 games of it over these two week-ends so far - and I'm also glad that this mode is here! - but that's fewer games and less enjoyment than what I had during the four iterations of normal URF.

I do feel that ARURF has been great for having brought some fresh air to the mode: we get to play URF without seeing all these Zeds, Fizz, Ezreals, Garens, Alistars, Galios and what not in every game where they slip through the ban phase, and we also discover some new picks, but I'd personally like if both URF and ARURF were to just alternate, sometimes having one, sometimes the other.

URF is simply a bad mode, in terms of design. Sure, it's fun, but on conception, most of the champion pool is bullied out of being remotely played by a tiny selection of like 20 champs. In URF, people play nothing else. In ARURF, they almost always guarantee a free win. Without any kind of remote balancing done to URF, this mode will continue to be highly polarizing and we'll always be at the mercy of shit like "You can't target me" Yi and "Lolwutswalking" Riven.
