The state of Poppy

Now this isn't some rant about Poppy Poppy. These are just my thoughts on the champion and how she currently is. I find it a shame that she just doesn't feel fitting to the game anymore. She is a tank that, lets face it, does a poor job compared to other tanks that have either been reworked or released. When Ornn came out the first thing I thought was "he's like a better version of Poppy" and lets face it he kind of is. Yes I know Poppy has some cool protection tools in her kit with her W and her ult. But she could be so much more. After her rework I immediately loved playing Poppy, but once she became slightly strong she got nerfed very hard, in my opinion, and just feels pretty worthless nowadays. A mini-rework would be nice, maybe. I don't really have much to suggest in changes however. But some number tweaks would maybe be a good start. As I said, this wasn't a rant. Just my opinion on champion I enjoy, but feel will just get totally pushed aside, as has already happened. And with season 8 just around the corner I can't see any reason why someone would want to learn her over other tanks. All I can say is, it's a shame she's gone back to the forgotten champion, just like she was pre-rework. Thanks for reading and feel free to leave comments and opinions below. Just to repeat myself, this isn't a rant so please don't take it the wrong way or anything. [poppy-wink]
Thanks again!

I think the only thing holding her back is her mana issues, she runs oom so fast even when only using Q.

Changes i'd suggest would be to reduce mana cost on her Q and increase her mana regen, but in exchange slightly increase mana cost of her W and E to make sure she doesn't abuse her enhanced mana regen with her W and E. She just needs to be able to use her Q for pushing and trading more reliably without fearing to go oom so fast.

Also i think they should look a bit into the hitbox of her E, many times have i seen an enemy slide through a wall instead of getting pinned to it.

The problem with poppy is that she had a tank's survivability with a juggernaut's damage when she was in her prime. Nerfs have been made to both of these things, and now she feels worse for wear on both aspects. They need to pick one to focus on. They need to either make her tankier with more CC while leaving her with subpar damage, or go the fighter route and increase her fighting capabilities while leaving her defense not as good.

Though you all will probably disagree I really despise laning against poppy.

Having the ability to say "fuck you" to every dash in the game along with the shield which gives players a choice- either deny poppy a shield and get stunned against a wall and eat a load of damage or let her have the shield and not be able to trade at all while she Q's you whenever you go for a minion.

She essentially gets to outdamage my all in and build tanky while doing that.

It's probably my champion choice- Kled. Except when I pick almost any other champ, the same result happens against poppy. Poppy is my 3rd most hated top lane champion. 1 being Fiora, 2 being any ranged top laner. She is one of the matchups I will likely feed hard in and I think I only beat her once.
