Recommended Item Sets = No?

So I haven't played LoL since 2016. I was a player who used the LoLbuilder app that would allow you to install builds directly into the game so you could follow them in the shop. Sadly the website has been shut down and with that I'm also guessing the app would fail even if I could find it.

So now to the point. Can I reliably use the Recommended item sets or am I going to have to read long guides on how to build characters? I fear the later since I think that would mean I would have to hold like 5 guides in my head just to play this game (one for each role).

This looks Promising. At least this would allow me to focus more on how to play the characters and slightly less on having to dig into the shop to find items.

it auto imports sets if you need them. Havent used that feature personally but its cool

####~~But... we have item sets already in client, right? Just look at popular builds and copy them into the system. No point in installing 3rd party software.~~
