Are ADCs still dead?

I just started playing League a month ago and I stumbled upon videos saying that ADCs are no longer viable and not the current meta. I want to know whether this is still true? It was the 8.11 patch, 5/6 months ago, and if I'm not wrong they fixed it, right? As a Jinx main, I really want to continue playing ADC. But if it's not the current meta, I will reluctantly change. But I hope to get some good news that ADCs are not completely dead :D

Edit: Seems to be a bitch move to implement the idea of ADCs and then take them away. Can't help feeling a little disappointed in Riot. I guess I'll continue with Jinx until I can move on from her. I would still appreciate some more knowledge and tips.

ADCs aren't dead, but it's just the fact there's constantly more champions with game-breaking rules which makes our favorite point-and-click role a little shallow.

A good example being Kayn, since you can't ward to have a precaution; or Pantheon who'll negate an auto attack and Jax who can negate auto-attacks for more damage.

Yeah i was kinda hesitant to put him on there along with irelia, but tbh you can just take any mage bot lane nowadays with DH and find success lmao. sadly.

It really just depends on what elo you're in, you could probably get away with playing her in bronze - plat. [slayer-jinx-wink]

edit: although i'd say just play what you enjoy :)

its better to play mages bot rn, jinx is still pretty decent luckily for you but you probably wont find yourself carrying any games pre 40 mins

I'm still new to the game and I'm pretty sure I'm not gonna play ranked games anytime soon so I was wondering if I could still be ADC since I'm a beginner? It wouldn't affect the gameplay much in a low level game, would it?

I've been playing Zoe bot adc in draft for around 20 games or so. In nearly every game i won botlane and did much more in the game than the enemy adc.

Look at champ gg bot lane and sort by pick rate.

ADCs are not and never have been "dead" on this game, and I'm tired of reading this. They have maintained their required pick status for years and years.
