Suggestion For Lobby BEFORE CHAMPION SELECT

So what I am suggesting is a lobby before you go to champion select. For example: Step 1: Queue up as Normal Step 2: Accept Match popup Step 3: GO TO A LOBBY SIMILAR TO TB, for example think of the tb lobby once you have founf 5 members. You all press ready and then go. So have a lobby like that but without lanes, Everyone clicks ready and goes to champion select. Step 4: Click ready Step 5: go to champ select

This means if someone is being toxic you can have a "find another match option" with a maximum of how many times you can do it so people dont just leave to find the role they want. If they leave this lobby there should be no penalties but higher penalties for leaving champion select.

SO yeah please read this and upvote if you think it is a good idea. I hope Riot sees this

I like it but then again, there's this thing called team builder you can do and it does pretty much exactly this. Normals are meant for quick matches where you really don't care what you get. And team builder is for people who want the full experience of finding a team that they know would work better.

That's an idea, but it's that much of a problem. Think aobut it, if you leave at that point, no one reports the toxic player and they go off free. Instead we should tackle a bigger problem: picks. People usually sound toxic if they are arguing, like arguing over a lane. Honestly blind pick is broken right now, cause people always see different chat orders so to them, they got top, but to the other guy, he got top. They both have proof too, but often times this proof is called fake and when your teammate says that ur lying but ur not, then you already have a grudge against that person.

I like this idea, but it does not fix the real issues that case strife. As mentioned below, the fighting over positions/roles and the whole "I called it first" vs "I am higher in the pick order".

TeamBuilder provides for these choices to be made in a much more consequence free environment. It is designed around the idea that you want a position/role. And designed around the idea that people are not all going to mesh to make a good team.

We need a TeamBuilder prescreen to build a team, then get tossed into champ select after. And the TeamBuilder needs to first match people up by their rating/rank, etc, then also by their positions. Then those people should get a chance to talk about switching their meta around. Like if your team wants to run two bruisers bot instead of a marksman/support.

Point here is to get the team into an agreement on who is playing each position and role. So once you hit Ready, and go to Champ select your team already knows you are planning on playing a Top lane Marksman, and that you have picked Vayne, but maybe want Cait as your second pick, but will settle for Jayce if all that is banned/taken.

Then you can do the pick+ban process after these random strangers have a chance to become a team.

Of course, it has to have some way to account for champion diversity, and even lane diversity of the players. You cannot implement TeamBuilder in the same way and work at all with the pick+ban process.

It might work for normals, and as an added bonus, you could talk with your team before the game so you know what you're doing (or not doing), like in TB :)

This is actually not bad of an idea.
