Xin Zhao abilities animations.

Randomly watching some old Champ Spotlights i noticed that in this one of Xin's pretty much all of his abilities have different (and my opinion cooler and more fluid Q especially) animations that the ones he has currently, does anyone know why were they removed?

Were they also as OP as he was on release so they had to nerf animations too?
