We need an Official Replay System

If someone use's third party programs as replay systems, And imagine getting reported for cheating just because you outplayed someone and they'll say you are scripting, Instead of the system doing nothing because you aren't scripting but they'll detect the third party program aka the replay system and will ban you.

Riot is never nice with Third Party Programs. If you use a custom skin and have Mojo program running, You'll get banned. This happened many times to many players getting banned for using Custom skins.

Can we please get a Official Replay System, Because it's been 7 Years since LoL was released, And LoL is the biggest game in Esports. Please release a Replay System when the new Client is ready to be released.

A built-in replay system would be awesome and remove the need to use 3rd party applications and services for replays, making it a whole lot more convenient to watch your #LCSbigplays; however, you won't be suspended for using services like Skin Spotlights Replays and Replay.GG, just as you wouldn't be suspended for using an antivirus either. Custom skins are not currently being actioned on, and even if they did decide to change this stance down the line, they would notify users before doing so to give them the chance to align themselves with the Terms of Use and their policies. MKLoL on the other hand is well known to be an unaccepted third party application due to its automated actions, such as various timers and chat functionalities.

While I do support a built-in replay system, I just wanted to step in and clarify some of the misconceptions regarding the current anti-cheat detection systems in place.

Indeed it would be awesome. Thanks for clarifying.

The reason why is because if they record it on the players computer then it opens up a huge backdoor into the games coding. If they were to store it on the servers then they would need hundreds of thousands of terabytes of space. a few million players all playing multiple games a day, games ranging from 20 min to 60, too much required storage space.

My bad, I did not think of this.

If hero of the storm can do it, league can do it.

Heroes of the storm is not 8 years old and was born from a skilled coding company. I talked with a few rioters last night. The current game client is a fucking mess. They would need to recode almost the entire game to be able to let a replay system work.

The current game client is a fucking mess.

It's almost as if a new client is coming to rectify that, or something.

Marshbouy1 votes

A new client is coming, but as of right now, that new client is not live.

At least it's coming, period. That's one step towards cleaning up years old spaghetti code.

The spaghetti is pretty gross at this point.

from what i know, riot actually promotes 3rd party replay systems. Back then, riot said trying to make a built-in one would only create potential holes for bugs when 3rd party programs can do the same job better. I cant remember the source for this one [baron replays] is directly associated with LCS too.

As far as i know, people get banned for using "custom" skins cuz they are not really "custom", but rather copied from skins owned by riot.
