I played an ARAM and an Ascension with Darius and always got it because there's constant team fighting, and it's easy to run out of mana with no recalls. I'm just wondering under what situations would be a better buy than or .

Any hardcore Darius mains feel free to reply.

No i never built it I'm not saying that it's a bad choise, just a matter of playstyle

i myself play Darius like a melee carry instead of a tank/frontline/utility champion, http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/TAXEZVbL-adc-darius-full-guide-on-how-to-carry building item 3078 + item 3053 instead of item 3071 which is why i don't build item 3025

But then you will have an other problem, you need item 3065 because it works well on darius, but you also need either triforce or cleaver, if you buy IBG on darius you will end up with 50% cdr not that it matters, because 10% cdr is nothing gold wise(or am i wrong?)

The good thing about IBG is that it slows for 2 seconds, making you able to hit few times after E and then W when the slow is over, instead of E+AA+W to slow them I guess you would build it if the enemy team doesn't have tons of crit damage, else randuin would be better

i stopped building deadman a long time ago, i don't see any point after they made it that expensive+reduced the HP on it after hitting one time you lose all your movement speed, you want to engage? if you're slowed you lose all your bonus movement speed

Never, you have your E for a slow/knock up cc(AoE)... you also have your W that gives a 90% slow... if you really want to feel yourself as broken get the Deadman's always... but try this order... Cleaver, Raptors cloack, deadmans, visage, randuins.... (use: Flash and Ghost) you'll stick to your enemies better. I only mained darius for 5 months and I climbed from silver 4 to Diamond 5...

I have built bork and frozen mallet together on Darius before. Aa bleed and slow on hit, plus high attack speed to keep applying slows and bleed, plus the active slow on bork. It was disgusting

item 3022 would be better i think

you already have 2 slows one on the reset and one on the pull

they are short but will overlap with iceborn which is kinda meh

at least with mallet you can permaslow

you could grab item 3116 and slow them with the bleed effect for a long ass time kinda like a melee brand although i wouldn't recommend it since the ap is wasted

I bought it once and was flamed for it. I asked what was wrong with it and all i got was "it doesnt give Darius the stats he needs".
