Not effective counter items

I been playing league a lot and i main tanks (like Rammus) and yet i still sometimes struggle against adc or ap damage champions. I feel like i get erased too much and there is not enough effective counter items. In this game a mistake early can be very costly and it is difficult to catch back up and to get counter items for enemies are just... not too effective when you are behind. Even when i play as kassidan i can erase enemies late game and similary they can erase me. Edit: I'm not gonna say stuff like some champions need nerfs more like there needs to be more counters in the game.

that's how the game works, if you're behind you generally don't get to kill people or survive, and there are no builds that make you completely unkillable

even with items like randuins omen and thornmail I still would have trouble, this feels kind of discouraging to not only newer people but just in general when you fall behind and you can almost not do anything to counter people.

the game isn't about countering people in a duel, it's about killing the nexus, fighting should not be your first objective it should be an obstacle in the way of actual objectives

lmao I'm not one of those really competitive players whose only goal is to win, this is still a game that i play for fun , I like killing enemy champions and not dieing, its fun. I went tank mundo once (no damage items other then sunfire cape) and I have gotten a pentakill how do you counter an enemy with no attack items! XD.

in other words i like duels cause its fun i destroy towers to attract attention and try to kill them or do some clutch escapes.
