Rito rolling out events like Harrowing "differently".
I don't see how it makes sense, honestly. Ok, Harrowing is not Halloween as it seems from your new lore, so it potentially can happen at different time of year. But, i not gonna celebrate some random in game event just cause u say so whenever u say so, if it's not related to something real life and culturally embedded like Halloween. It loses it's deep meaning when you disconnect it from real life.
Post on PBE says it will allow you to roll out more cool stuff more often (skins etc.), but cool stuff is not the standard of player caring, more of your will to get more MONEY from fans. Remember how game was in 2012? It was dope. It was real. Simple, no sophisticated shit, but ddmn real. and now you are so concerned with innovation and rebuilding your fucked up lore ( which was entirely your fault) that you do it at the expense of player experience.
I love League, but nothing is forever. "Sic transit gloria mundi" - glory fades in time. You might be the ones with the most played and popular game now. But you have rivals, and they will gladly take your player base. And people will go and play smth else Halloween themed today while they could be plying League.
Starbucks does a better work with bringing holiday spirit as of now.
