League of Legends is NOT about kills

Ok so I know this is a pretty simple concept for most of us and we can all agree this is true, so why is it still so prevalent in matches? Someone consistently dives foolishly under tower for a kill they don't get, or chases into the fog of war or a bush, or my personal favorite, your one bar Jax cancels his "B" and dives into three of the enemy team to kill a four bar, fed Yi that instead owns him. What can we do to spread the word to everyone that towers and dragons and barons are waaaaaay more important than that kill you want? Because, honestly, this is getting really old.

It happens in all ranks sadly.

lol I've seen this shit from even Diamond players. They just do it way less often. In higher elos it's usually because someone is tilted and doesn't care if they win or lose.

Because people like to kill each other regardless of if it actually accomplishes anything.

I'm guilty of sometimes entering a bloodlust in which I see a low health enemy and I cannot stop myself from pursuing them despite all the alarm bells in my head screaming at me to stop. I've somewhat managed to prevent myself from entering these stages by constantly reminding myself that 12 or so creeps is just as rewarding as 1 kill and that this is NOT a fighting game.
