RIVEN rework or buff ???

Hello Im a riven main been playing riven for the past 3 years and she was fine until 2016 when she got these decent nerfs ( not direct nerfs it's just that they buffed some champions too much ) and now she's such a useless champion that all riven mains quit playing her because she's garbage against tanks and most of champions i mean even boxbox the most infamous riven pro player been having difficulties in laning phase because other champions are just too op to solo kill or outfarm ... check out riven's winrate and playrate i stopped playing riven in my main acc cause i couldn't win any lane phases with her duo to how easy she gets countered and gets behind , so please give her some decent buffs or rework her im pretty sure this is not fair to any other riven mains or riven players in general

Usually I would be on the opposing side saying riven's op blah blah blah. But she really doesnt have anything going for her compared to other more meta champs. She doesn't get too tanky, deals decent damage, good mobility though. I could see a small rework or a few small buffs to her kit.

lol yeah, the only issue is I don't really know how to buff her. I mean easiest would be damage or CD buff on her abilities but as for reworking her kit I don't really know

She could use slight buffs. The problem is that an over-buff could make her really difficult to win lane against. She is a champions that needs kills to really carry.

I personally think she is a pretty weak at the moment, but it might be because her sustain is poor in early laning. She could maybe get a health regen buff better scaling base HP.

She is the type of champion that needs to get kills and also a champion that has a hard time catching up if she falls behind. Really good players make riven look like a god, but average ones have no clue how to play her when they get behind.

The tanks in the top lane do harm her because it is difficult for her to burst any of them down unless she kills them early.

i know all that but still and toplane mages aren't really ballanced compared to her she's nothing but a garbage useless champion

Why buff her? She is not easy to play. And she is strong, if you master her -it's rare to see a good Riven player, but they usually carry 1v5... I once played with one Riven spammer that was trolling with Hurricane and Hextech gunblade, still 1v5ing the enemy team, after he got fed from some early kills. She has low counterplay, if you can animation cancel, because you can instaburst the enemies while they are stunned/knocked up.

I don't know, she doesn't have too much problems with tanks, it's the CC that they bring. "Broken AP items" - I remember being able to go over 1000 AP in the old seasons in the previous seasons, now mages deal less damage, because you just can't buy raw AP without stacking items like tear/ROA or Rabadons. Same with the tank items - there used to be some pretty strong tank items like the old Warmogs, Elder golem, Banshee's had lower cd, Frozen heart was way better and so on. Brutalizer was probably too strong for such cheap item and she got hurt when they removed it.

LOL dude have u atleast tried to play her like in 50 match this patch try to ,,, anyway just because ap can't get 1000 ap doesn't mean they'rent op i mean this new vlad is broken swain is super broken annie can one shot u if well farmed & tanks like renek & others just one shot her pfff dude she's so weak she needs a serious buff

Riven is too strong in mid to late game, if she gets buffed then her late game should get nerfed.

Thats true, but if a riven doesn't get fed early she still won't have a late game. They need to give her some early power so she can turn into the mid and late we all know and.... "love"

She has really strong early game.If you cant use that to snawball into the mid late game ,thats your problem ,not the champion.Like shaco ,you dont snowball early ,you usless rest of the game.

I'm just saying what I see, I don't play a lot of riven any more. But with these bruisers and tanks that go top, champs like fiora or darius riven just doesnt seem good enough. It's not that she still can't snowball im just saying in the new meta its not worth trying to snowball, you may aswell play a good bruiser that doesnt need it and can just scale well.

Judging from only 1 game recently her damage surprised me, bruisers don't even compare damage wise she is more squishy but has better escape. I played against her with Malph and kinda won the lane but she just destroyed everything as the game went on and she could 1v1 me easy in later game, my armor did not counter her.

u cannot really snowball everyone u know there's renek who can prob one shot u & moost of these meta champions are tanky and hard to snowball early

not really tho renek can 1 combo her to lose all her hp nasus can safe until he gets that 35 cdr in mn 10 and gets 600 stacks or gets sheen which will deal tons of damage ..

Isn't Boxbox a one trick pony? And would he be Master/Challenger if he didn't play Riven? Probably not, so it shows that Riven is still op if played well.

he got challenger & master in 2016 and the preseasons now in this patch he's having a serious lose streak otherwise getting carried & going out with terrible cs & score

Riven is in the worst state since they released her right now.

She has 0 good matchups in lane. Every. Single. Lane. is a uphill climb. If you don't outskill your opponent you will loose.

Boxbox is the 3. best Riven player in NA (that i know) and struggles to stay in Masters.

He looses lane in 80% of all games and only comes back in like 30% of these games.

The only reason why he is climbing right now is because King Nidhogg is carrying him. And thats not because hes bad, just because literally every champion that is played top has 4x as much surviveability while still outdamaging her you can't win in high elo. (Tank Ekko, Fizz, Irelia etc.)

Im a Riven main myslef. I started playing her in early season 4, and I have to say that she is very weak right now, but not as weak as you made it seem. To deal with tanks, I just take flat armor pen marks instead of raw damage and for my keystone i take stormraiders surge. Ever since i started using these runes and masteries, I find myself climbing and having a 72% win rate with her with about 100 games under my belt. That is in ranked of course. So I really don't think she needs a rework because she is actually very good if you can animation / auto cancel with her effectively. Most champions do not have that which is what makes her so unique. I do agree though, that she does need slight buffs. Maybe some extra base damage on her Q will do the trick, not sure. I would also like to see a revert on the windslash nerfs.
