Unfair treatment from Riot - the broken MMR system

I recently posted a question to the LoL support about why I was getting really low LP even after maintaining more than 50% win rate and getting mostly A- to S grades in the past 90 games. Here's a gist of what I wrote:

Hi, I have been playing LoL for more than 3 years, and this isn't the first time that even after performing very well and constantly winning matches, I am getting really low LP. If you look at my last 90 games, my win rate is at 51%, and in past 30 games my win rate is at 57%, yet I get rewarded 13-14 LP per win, and lose 20-22 LP per loss. This has made climbing horribly difficult, and I basically have to win two games to make up for one loss. Another issue that I had been facing (mainly in G4 though) is that I was constantly getting placed in low MMR queues, with the rest 4 on my team from silver and bronze, while the other team with players from G2 or G3. I actually have received more trolls, inters and rage quitters in the past 30 days than I have in the past 3.5 years before that. I had actually uninstalled the game to take a break, only to come back after a week of resistance.

And this is the response that I got from the so-called support (won't reveal the summoner name of the support guy for common courtesy):

MMR system can seem kinda confusing, especially with all of these ranked changes and completely understand where you're coming from. But from what it looks like, it seems as though your MMR is much lower than your current rank. So you are gaining less LP when you win then when you lose because after the Positional rankings being removed, average MMR for each rank has changed and yours is to low for your rank, so the system is trying to put you in the "correct" rank to reflect your MMR. This is why you are earning 13-14LP per game and losing 20-22LP. The only way you can fix your MMR is by winning games and that's pretty much it. Going on nice win streaks will help that MMR starts to go back up so just keep on grinding. Again, I know it sucks and I'm sorry but that's all you can do to fix your MMR. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

Here are some rough stats:

  • I have a 57% winrate in last 30 games, and 51% winrate in last 90 games, and 50% winrate since the beginning of the season
  • I have an average grade of A-, A and S with the major champs I play, like Teemo, Amumu, Morgana, Quinn, Xayah, etc.
  • In the matches that I have lost, most of the times (if not all) I end up as the Ace

Now think about this:

  • If Riot is actively trying to lower my rank, so much that it is giving me only 2/3 of LP back for a win compared to a loss, and yet I am maintaining my rank and winning my games, then do I really belong in a lower rank?
  • If I am getting a team consisting of silver or bronze, with me as the only gold, and yet I am winning games against a team consisting of all gold players, does that really mean that I belong in a lower rank than I am currently in?
  • If my average farm, average turrets/objectives per game, average vision score, average map score, etc. are higher than others (not saying that I always do, but it is currently above), does my kda really deserve that much focus? After all, I am a split-push player so my kda is bound to suffer.
  • Is win rate really a good indication of everything to judge a player's rank?

Imagine if every player who is trying to climb hard gets push down so hard by Riot... what will happen to the game? The whole system is based on bullshit, and they don't even have any clear criteria given to the players except saying that "win more games". On one hand, you are actively trying to fuck me up in games, and on the other, you expect a 100% winrate from me? Are you kidding me?

I propose that we tell Riot it is high time to give out clear details about what factors account for in your MMR. As a player who invests multiple hours every day into this game, and has actively spent money on it, I have the right to question them, and the right to know exactly what I need to do to climb faster. Personally, with the response I received from the "support", it has made me even more angry and frankly why would I even give this game a chance if they are actively saying that they are positively trying to lower the quality of games for me? What exactly am I being punished for?

So you had a horrendous start and then expect that just because you have positive winrate in the last few games somehow is going to invalidate that terrible start? You said it yourself, you have a 50% winrate overall which leads me to believe that before the last 30 games you had overall a sub 50 winrate

What do you expect? They have to make those micro transaction sales somehow. Keeping people constantly playing so they feel money in their wallet burning a hole in it to get that latest skin or buy that newly buffed champion is their marketing model.
