How do you play Fid in Jungle?
I got into platinum 5 tonight playing jungle fid. I think if you click on my account you can see my match history.
I'm wondering what other people are building and doing? I'm interested in lower pick rate junglers because a lot of people don't really know how to play against them.
What I do:
Skill order level 1-6: W > E > W > Q > Q > R I go with this because having Q2 will give you 1.5 seconds of fear. R takes 1.5 seconds to channel, so if you walk up to someone you can Q>R>E>W them fairly easily in most situations.
After 6: R>Q>W>E when available
Path: I like to start red with W and then run to my blue. I level E second and I leash the blue buff and the gromp at the same time and stand between them. I cast E and it bounces between gromp and blue. W keeps me alive and I can clear both at the same time. After this I do wolves>wraiths>golems.
Rune Picks:
Red Tree (predator) Electrocute Sudden Impact Eyeballs Ultimate CD
Secondary Tree (spell/support tree)
Perfect timing & Cosmic Insight - mostly because they lower
time to sync with ult.
Items:
- I buy this first and I never upgrade it.
- I buy these second.
- I buy this third to combo with ult.
- 4th, I've come to love this item because it makes clearing jungle super easy.
- 5th, I like this for team fights and it combos with
.
- 6th.
- 7th, I replace
.
From what I've seen my good games come down to a few things.
- Side lanes that do not feed. If my lanes feed I notice playing fid is basically impossible.
- Using Hourglass properly is arguably the most important thing because it can be used to bait enemies into bad fights, dodge ults, etc.
- Using sweeping trinket and pink wards and always ulting into fights once they start.
- Using Q>R combo on solo enemies - for some reason I think a vast majority of people do not think you will walk up to them and ult them... but a level 5 Q allows me to basically full combo you.
- Not smart casting R so I can jump over large pieces of terrain.
I'm really interested if anyone finishes the jungle item and how they might play. When I stopped building the jungle item I started to win more frequently. I honestly don't think it's a good item, but maybe I'm missing something.
