How long before we stop saying "deal with it it happens"

TSM Daboriftu··12 votes·1,403 views

I made a smurf, i'm trying to hit plat 5 after promos, and i almost get there, and I get some guy intentionally losing so he can "have a bronze 5 account to troll on" he says this in game, and he's been losing games all the way up to 30 in horrific fashion, my goal that I set is now unobtainable because of someone else, i will more than likely get somewhere between high silver and mid gold

Why do people get to cheat, afk, be toxic for months at a time before anyone does anything, Diablo 2 had better hack detection and came out 15 years ago, even wow still bans people for toxic behaviour within a few hours, at what point do we as a community demand higher quality of life?

Wasn't using caps as a cruise control for cool, was using to convey tone and sarcasm.

It's your fault. You need to carry harder. You are the common denominator in all your games(also less chance for a troll). Ummmmmmmm did I miss any other pro advice?

i was like 27/10 and tried to direct the team to rotate as best I could, it's hard though when one guy refuses to group because he's trying to lose on purpose, I win most of my games because I am a good player and try to lead my group in smart ways, but it's really crappy when you get 2-3 trolls in a row, I usually go like 8-2 or 9-1 in provs, i'm 5-4 right now because of people joining just to make bronze 5 accounts, I really don't get the appeal.

He was quoting what higher ELO people always say in response to people complaining about their rank.

It's never someone else's fault, basically, it's always YOU. 'If you can't carry yourself to where you think you should be, then you don't actually deserve that rank' as if trolls and intentional feeders never happen.

Like look, I'd admit I belonged where I am if I thought my games were actually fair.

Why smurf? :/

The amount of times I've been slapped by smurfs even though I'm still trying to learn the game, it's really bad on new players when people like you play against them. We don't learn anything by getting stomped in lane and getting blamed by the rest of the team. Of course this guy who intentionally lost is worse but c'mon man, you're not exactly perfect for the community yourself

Why smurf? :/

I know it's laughable for a silver to smurf, but it's easier to call them smurfs than alternate accounts...

I have multiple smurfs myself, because it's fun to have different usernames without having to pay for them on my main account (and I originally started them to avoid my friends spectating my games when I was still learning) If I had been able to have a level 30 account immediately without having to stomp new players to level, I would have, but the option does not exist.

And I'd dare to say that I learn the most when I play vs/with a player better than myself. The most fruitful games in term of knowledge gained are the games where I have a gold or higher, either on my team or the enemy team. I have learned so much by listening to the diamond in my ranked 5s team, and watching him.

Learn best when playing vs better players yes, but not players who are way beyond my skill level. As someone who is still trying to learn to CS and land skillshots, it's living hell for me to face someone who will take full advantage of that.

I'm an ok player, probably, check my match history. I once faced a Plat Jayce in mid as Veigar. By the end of the match I was 1/10/4 and he was 21/4/5. Now imagine a level 10 new player vs a plat smurf? The only thing they'll learn is how to uninstall a game within 30 seconds :P

this is untrue and only shows that you know nothing about the game.

players who are level 10 and dominating that hard are immediately put into a smurf ELO and never see new players again. There is not one range of players leveling there are tons.

who the hell is a silver smurf? if you're commenting on my rank and calling it laughable, that's the whole fucking point of this thread, is that I can start out 5/0 and get a massive string of afkers, and people intentionally losing in a row to put someone who is diamond 1 67LP on their main into silver 2. You can say a diamond player should be able to carry provisional games with ease until you're blue in the face, and on the teams where people weren't afk, and weren't intentionally trying to lose, I did.

If you don't have anything other than asshat opinions, stay out of my thread.

I'm silver, I was commenting on myself. Having a smurf implies you have high level play experience, and silver is NOT high level. I'm a silver player with smurfs, which is a little laughable (why would I need alternate accounts? I don't have to avoid long queue times nor can I face the challenge of getting to a certain rank, since that is beyond my skill right now)

But woah, good job jumping the gun there buddy!

People make new accounts either when they aren't able to get further on their main, or they want to try and learn something new,

you cannot learn something new on your main account as easily because everyone tryhards in normals and plays their main, it's an easier learning curve, a real smurf will never be in your elo, they will play 10 games and end up in high gold or low plat, normals have no real form of balance, so it doesn't matter there, if you claim you're losing normals because of smurfs you need to quit the game immediately, find a time machine, go back to grade school, enroll in a sport, and learn how to lose while understanding it's a normal part of the learning process.

you sound like you'll do anything other than admit that you aren't that good to justify losing, you cannot be on a level 30 account playing norms and say you're learning and that smurfs are ruining it, and if you're saying you're learning in ranked, you deserve to be banned, ranked is not where you learn, it's where you test your skills that you have already learned, and if you aren't up to the challenge you stop and go learn more in ranked or watch videos, or get tutored.

rofl

Just look at my posts mate, I have admitted I am an average if not bad player. My point is smurfs like you make it hell for people trying to learn the game and honestly, I've enjoyed the game less when facing smurfs than I have with a feeder or afk on my team.

Yes I am 30 and played around 100 normals, I have lost 6 of my 7 ranked games. So when I face a Plat or even Gold player with 1000+ wins, well lets just say I don't enjoy those games :) Now imagine that for a new player!

you cannot learn something new on your main account as easily because everyone tryhards in normals and plays their main

Then by what rank you say you're eligible for, you should be able to exploit people that use these "try hard" methods.

normals have no real form of balance, so it doesn't matter there, if you claim you're losing normals because of smurfs you need to quit the game immediately, find a time machine, go back to grade school, enroll in a sport, and learn how to lose while understanding it's a normal part of the learning process.

You're completely contradicting yourself by stating normals don't have balance (thus making smurfs high probability in normals) and then state you can't argue someone smurfing in an unbalanced mode. Also putting someone down like that doesn't help your point, just letting you know.

you sound like you'll do anything other than admit that you aren't that good to justify losing,

"my goal that I set is now unobtainable because of someone else"

If you're Plat material (even gold) then you should have no problem jumping to that rank at all, regardless of who did what in said game. Yeah, you're trying to hit it by doing promos, but the thing is then you'd automatically be put into it without even finishing promos if you're that good. The game will detect that you're literally smurfing that hard and place you easily in high gold/low plat.

none of what you just said even remotely begins to make sense...go home kid

VaporeonKun1 votes

Then I'll simplify it, sir.

I don't have anything for the first one since I'm confused on what I wrote myself

The second I'm pointing out that if normals isn't balanced, it means it will have people that are either really shitty or really good people and possibly smurfs. By saying you can't claim to be losing normals because of smurfs contradicts your statement on normals being unbalanced. I also pointed out that you're being rude to someone who wasn't even being malicious in the first place.

The third reply is more contradictory because you're blaming someone for your loss while pointing at someone and saying they can't say such ludicrous things and should just admit they're not good. If you're good as you say then being a plat player you would be able to make up for that players flaws.

It's also soloque, you should be able to carry yourself.

Yeah, my promos to Silver 1 (started ranked a few months ago) were ruined because someone instalocked Teemo (we already had top and mid).

Hmm sounds like you are bad. I accepted that I am bad and it made me not care about anything in league. there will always be fotm bs and broken mechanics in the game. It seems like the devs are rather uninterested in defining roles and making the game fun again. we are left with a world that is familiar but mechanics that are anti fun. Play another game for a week and come back to league. You will quickly find that you aren't that satisfied with the gameplay experience. Hell i have more fun with csgo rng sprays than I do this game. At least if i try hard i can 1v4 or 1v5 with superior mechanics and skill. League is in a weird spot right now and it will take a lot of work from the dev team to make it fun again (never going to happen). The game is based around pro play and competitive play at any other tier simply isn't satisfying due to game design/matchmaking.

yeah idk what is up with that...seems like a really bad idea to let people do that, elo boosters will just group together to get it done way faster, never have to deal with any problems...

Are you referring to the new dynamic Queue ? It will still have the 1 rank above or below for the entire party for example if there's a gold on the team than a diamond cannot join nor can a bronze .

Beldair1 votes

I completely agree. I get tired of these rage quiters or the ones who say f* it and lose intentionally. As a support main, it's hard for me to hold bot lane alone or try to help someone carry a team when someone else is feeding or afked.
