Ashe's W and Q interaction.

If you were unaware of it, Ashe's Voley's slow is entirely based on the rank of Frost Shot. This means that if Ashe has never learned Q, then her W will not slow, and as she levels the Q, the W will slow accordingly.

But what if Riot made the W slow on it's own?

Slow's have very interesting programming where if two slows are applied to the same champion then a resulting stronger slow percentage is used that is barely buffed but is higher than either slow.

Ashe is being Denied this synergy between the damage of her Volley and her Basic Attack. A player should be rewarded for landing an Auto (hopefully a focused crit from the passive?) as well as a Volley, instead of given the same exact slow no mater the combo or either. The numbers can be tinkered with and yet this game-play could be available.
