Just another opinion on Balance

Before you start reading please bear in mind that my english is a bit rusty and i dont post a lot in forums.

I want everybody who is jumping on the "Riot can't balance" train to just take a moment and actually THINK before posting. You can still post that you think that Veigar is really bad now or about Riot not beeing able to balance, just dont mindlessly repeat what has been said a 100 times without adding any arguments.

I will try to explain my point of view on some champs and recent changes. Lets start with

Lee sin is a strong champion, no doubt, but i dont think he even needs to be nerfed right now. He is the most played jungler at the moment, but why? Looking at the winrate Lee seems pretty bad (http://champion.gg/champion/LeeSin/Jungle 46,6% and thats just in plat+). Only 6 jungle champs have a lower winrate. Winrate doesnt mean everything, we all know popular champs tend to have a lower winrate, but winrates can still be an idicator.

Why is he getting played so much? (currently over 25% playrate)

  1. Other strong junglers like Nidalee, Jarv and Vi are getting banned a LOT (Vi and Jarv are at 70% banrate, lee is at 4% (numbers from http://champion.gg ).
  2. He is fun to play
  3. His kit is more forgiving compared to other agressive junglers. (ward jumping ftw)
  4. He can snowball
  5. He is strong

Why do i think he doesnt really need a nerf?

  1. His late game really isnt that great. If he builds agressive he has a hard time getting to the backline without getting bursted, if he builds tank he provides less cc compared to other tanky junglers.
  2. Speaking of other junglers: A lot of them suck. Yea, they are bad. Lee is strong and compared to many other junglers he seems a bit too strong. But do i think we should nerf lee? No, just buff the other junglers! (thats what Riot seems to be doing, looking at the recent PBE changes)
  3. I cant justify a nerf from MY PERSONAL experince playing against him. I never felt like: "Damn dude, that champ, i cant beat him"

My main point is the fact that lee is only seeing so much play because the other junglers are either so freaking strong that they get perma banned or they are too weak if played by someone who is not maining that champion. Lee Sin's power is at a point that doesnt justify banning him but he isnt weak either. Buffing other junglers, like the tank junglers in general, might result in a way lower pickrate for Lee.

Lets talk about Veigar and 5.4:

I dont think riot did things perfectly, but i do think most players are overreacting. Veigars E change hit him hard, i am pretty sure Riot did expect that the 5.4 changes together with the removal of DFG might be an overall nerf. Why did Riot change the E? Because his old E really limited what Riot could do with Veigar. They couldnt really buff him as long as he had this instant AOE stun. They changed the E and now they can balance him around his new E. It makes Veigar a lot healthier overall and allows for power to be shifted into other aspects of his kit. With 5.4 Veigar did become weaker in my opinion, Riot didnt really do a great job balancing him around his new E yet but i honetly trust them to do so soon. They just need some time to figure things out.

And please, PLEASE stop posting things like "They just changed Veigars stun because it counters highmobility champs and prevents #LCSBIGPLAYS"
