I've gotten 2 wins and 6 losses so far in ranked and I'm unranked at the moment so I was wondering if I would be ranked at all. If not, what are the requirements to be ranked

You are going to something like bronze2-silver4. There are no "requirements to be ranked", everyone who played their 10 placement games is placed somewhere, even if its 0-10.

Average first time placement seems to be about Silver 4, even if you don't do well. I don't know if it's even possible to go straight into Bronze. You will get placed when you finish your 10 placement matches.

The new season starts on the 20th and you'll be subjected to the MMR soft reset and have to do your placements again, so I'd personally suggest to just wait for that. People who have not finished their placements before to get ranked are not subject to the MMR soft reset.
