how does the ranking system work

i've heard a lot about how the ranking system works and most of it seems to be in reality false. For instance what is the point of having provisional games if you can win by a vast majority say 7/3 8/2 and you end up at the bottom. Secondly riot made a state meant that wins would count more toward ranking up and losses would not hurt you as much i.e.: if you go 5/5 you should gain LP. once again what is the point of this why is riot now recanting on their own systems, i feel like i'm being scammed by a credit card company. It's not due to tilt the frequency i see people say "f&*% riot". their needs to be some sort of explanation, i know this has been done for bans in the tribunal, but how about telling me how i can improved when i'm not toxic and tbh just want to play with people that are interested in winning and improving and working together. which bring up the final point how does the F,D,C,B,A,S rating system work, I've witnessed a clearly better player that contributed more to the win and did far better get awarded an A and another player on the same team get a S. I just don't get it and I'm starting to get frustrated.

S ranks are gained due to how well they played that particular champion compared to others who played that same champion... In the same role I believe as well. Example: You can be a better player as naut than that Yasuo who barely helped the team, but that Yasuo that barely helped the team barely helped the team more than the rest of the Yasuo players.

I believe that is how it works based on what I read.

In regards to MMR/LP... Dunno. They say they won't release it and say it takes a couple of games (50-100) to get to your real rank... Which is real dumb.
