Taliyah W changes/nerfs, vector casting is slower than double tap and riots mess up

So a lot of people are talking about the new Taliyah W changes. Some argue that vector casting is faster and the Taliyah mains such as my self are arguing that the changes were unnecessary and only do harm. Personally the changes have drastically reduced my accuracy with the W and even if I do hit it, I usually will send them in the wrong direction. I understand that in time I will get use to it however what I am here to talk about is the fact that vector casting is slower than the double tap.

The reason for this is that with the old double tap casting as soon as you pressed w the spell started. However with vector casting the spell does not start until you press w choose your direction and release. The second cast for the double tap simply modified an ongoing spell, however with the new casting it takes longer for the spell to start because of the extra steps.

Now onto the Taliyah e nerfs, by removing the lock out on the w you technically are making the w>e combo more reliable. However, it is my belief that riot likes to avoid unhealthy gameplay and by removing the knock out you are removing counter play from the game. Before if an enemy saw a Taliyah minefield they would be on the look out for a w, but now they have less of a warning to avoid Taliyah's burst.

I may have mentioned e arlier that the enemy has less of a warning to Taliyah's w but even with out the subtle warning from a sudden minefield the w remains hard to hit(if not harder due to the slowed casting). Sure if you land the w your combo is assured, but it feels so lack luster now. You hit an extremly hard skill so you should be given a big reward, but now the damage is simply not there.

All in all i'm simply just upset that Riot is simplifying a champion, and because they are simplifying her they are making her weaker. It would be like if they made lee sins second q automatically put him behind the enemy but his kick did half the damage and half the distance.

Personally I think the lock out made Taliyah more complex as a champion and I loved it, often when I was chasing an enemy as Taliyah I would have to cast the w with out the e because i knew if i took the time to cast the e they would be out of range for the w. And don't get me wrong theses changes are small, but they do simplify her and it is pissing of us Taliyah mains. A new player who is looking to play taliyah won't decide to play her because you made her just a little more simple, if they want to play taliyah they expect her to be a hard champion to master, this little tweak isnt going to make her popularity go up, which is what i think riot is trying to do.

I don't think that anything they did to her was something actual Taliyah players wanted. Most of it came from those who played one or two games and thought she was awful. She is supposed to be difficult to master, so why try and make it easier? And why do it with this implementation of vector casting, where the ability is strictly worse than it was before?

It's honestly depressing, who asked for this? It wasn't a big issue before, i never saw 5 threads a day about her W needing a change. But riot is like "let' just ruin this champion, sounds fun right"

She was not selling well and they wanted to profit on the champ after a catastrophic release.

Its a pure monetarial issue. Your opinions do not matter much in this case...because the money is not flowing on this champ
